The engine is being rebuilt, but how can they say "everything else has already been done"? From the pictures it looks like nothing has been done. Don, I'm with you - it looks like nothing has been done to the rest of the car. There were subtle changes to the 1917 D-45's over the '16's. This car has the crowned fenders. My D-45 is a very early model and has the flat fenders. Crowned fenders came along during the 1916 model run, but most people think that this feature denotes a 1917 model.
