cricket-ny
I have 2 car doors from around the late 20's, one front, one rear. Both doors are 31" wide by 44&1/2" high. The actual glass opening in each is the same, 25&3/4"w by 15&5/8"h.They are skinned in aluminum, have 3 hinges on each door and have a part number etched into their header(15778). They also have a recess cut into the top of each door frame for a closer to fold into. See pics. Much too nice not to find a home for. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Chris

keiser31
Hudson and Essex of the era had piano hinges on suicide front doors.
thehandleman
yes, but may have been a Biddle and Smart bodied Hudson ?? they had different body and doors. Good thought John
Dave Mellor NJ
Pierce Arrow was known for aluminum bodies. This 24 looks similar

nzcarnerd
Marmon liked aluminium - did they do bodies in it?

Right you are. I was looking at Pierce images and only saw the doors. Pierce doors of the era all seemto be too high, for a top hat.

4Hud
Could be Hudson Brougham built by Biddle & Smart but only second series 1926 as earlier bodies seem to have 4 hinges instead of the 3 shown here.

cricket-ny
Thank you for the replies. The only thing bothering me is the front door is not suicide opening? Will bring to Hershey next week and maybe someone will recognize.
4Hud
My thought was that it is suicide opening as the door lock hole is most often on the curb side. If this is the case, you may have a front passenger side and rear drivers side, (LHD). Here is a better photo of a B&S sedan for comparison. Dave Mellor NJ
The doors in the original picture have only 3 hinges, the moldings are flatter plus it is unlikely that the doors wouldn't be from the same side
