MrEarl Posted April 25, 2017 Share Posted April 25, 2017 Trying to sort out parts from the 38 and 40 Buicks from the barn find. They were thrown in to the 54, 53, 38 and 40. I have been looking at pictures and parts books and determined a lot of them but want to make sure they all go to the right cars/new owners Here's the first one. jscheib Posted April 25, 2017 Share Posted April 25, 2017 Lamar, The second seems to be an after-market heater. If it had been mounted in either car, you may be able to match holes in the firewall. 1939_Buick Posted April 25, 2017 Share Posted April 25, 2017 (edited) Images in post 1 may be stone guards that fit in the rear fender '39 have something similar but a more rectangular shape (not squarish) The rear coil springs could be about the same diameter, but they look too light to be associated with suspension From memory heaters were an option in the 1930s. 1937-44 Posted April 27, 2017 Share Posted April 27, 2017 Are you sure there aren't already some gravel deflectors on the 38? They help strength and support the fenders.
