PWB
I'm sure you've seen this '86. I just can't believe it. Rare combo. (Not mine, of course) http://www.ebay.com/itm/1986-Buick-Riviera-/272522527361?forcerrptr=true&hash=item3f739bc281:g:fo4AAOSwnHZYey~L&item=272522527361
RivNut
I'm not getting what the "rare combo" is. Are you referencing the aftermarket mock convertible top? Ed
dship
The chrome rocker panels are definitely aftermarket. I've only seen one other 7th generation Riv with the full canvas top at a local auto show on Cape Cod a few years ago.

Ed Yes, en total. The AACA award, rare color, and options. Perhaps, you don't appreciate them. Just thought I'd share the Riviera beauty.
RivNut
I'm just saying that this car is not a whole lot different than the cars from that generation that we see annually at the ROA events. Ruby red popular color - either with the matching red (as shown) or with white leather. One of the really neat options for cars from these years was the reversible seat cushions. Velour on on side and suede on the other. They just basically pressed in place and you pulled them out and flipped them over to the other side - all color coordinated to suit your mood. PWB
Indeed! And on the opposite end - my 100% vinyl interior - I am no fan of. The day I find a super rare GS '67 with "fabric" seat inserts, I'm trading up!

The gold '67 my best friend's parents had as I was growing up (the inspiration that led me to my 'Goldie') had the deluxe interior in black with the cloth inserts -- very sharp!
