Restorer32
Not sure whether to thank you or cuss you. I just spent the rent money on Packard parts.
West Peterson
I thought I saw your bidder name come up. I bought a couple of things, too.
K8096
What did the 22nd series Custom 8 Packard fastback go for? That is a rare car. if I didn't already have a convertible of that model I might have gone for it.

K8096
Yes, $3450 is pretty reasonable. It needed a lot of work, but was reasonably solid & had most of the parts. I seem to remember it listed on e bay several times in the past starting off around $7000 and the price then being lowered each subsequent time it was listed. I think there's less than 20 of that body style in the 22nd series Custom Eight in existence. Far rarer than the convertible any way you look at it. http://bid.kaufman-auctions.com/view-auctions/catalog/id/12424/lot/1614889/ Edited June 25, 2016 by K8096 (see edit history)
JD in KC
$3,450.00. I agree it's a rare model but even at that price I wouldn't be willing to spend what it would take to bring it up to #2 condition. Hopefully the successful bidder had deep pockets and a desire to restore it. I'd love to see it restored.
alsancle
I see the Sterns went for next to nothing too, although completing the restoration is no small feat.
