Guest Roadmaster Russ
Hi Guys, Just picked up a 1939 Buick Roadmaster. I'm excited to finally own a pre-war car! I've been talking about it with my pops for some time now. She's in pretty good shape, looks like a restoration happened at some point long ago. It's been converted to 12v, the upholstery has been done, and someone (ugh) diamond plated the running boards. There is some rust in a couple spots, but overall pretty decent shape. BUT........Not 10 minutes after I got it back to my garage the factory generator pulley (now mounted to a modern delco remy GM alternator) disintegrated. I know the Series 80's used the 7/8 belt rather than the 5/8 of the 40's and 60's. Does anyone know or have any leads on where to get another 7/8 wide pulley? I've been scouring the internet like crazy and have come up dry. Thanks! Also, here are some pics of the new girl.

1939_Buick
Good to read it will get a color change . Even 1 of those colors would be better in my humble opinion, but any owner can do what he wants with a car. The steering wheel is not 39. But 39 steering wheel rims almost always break up. Dave T may have one, but cost $$$ to get recast in maroon. Front fender park lights were an option. Genuine '39 park lights come up from time to time on ebay. They get good money. Guest Roadmaster Russ
Yeah, I think the wheel is from a 55. I'm impressed ya spotted that. As far as the PO's taste, I can deal with the interesting color choice a lot easier than the diamond plate running boards...

Guest Roadmaster Russ
I have some other photos of this carI'd love to see them. Are they from the CL ad? Also, I can't find in the profile edit page where the member title is. I know on some other forums there is a minimum post count in order to allow custom titles. Does anyone know if that is the case here? Edited July 18, 2015 by Roadmaster Russ (see edit history)
