I have a 1950 Buick 4D sedan Roadmaster but I notice some of them are different in rear window design (1950) & chrome arrangement is there such a thing as a Riviera type Roadmaster of sort I am new with the Buicks always had Chevy's if so how can one distinguish the difference

Take a look at your data plate on the firewall

 

71 touring sedan

72 is a deluxe Riviera

  Gary, I know I have seen pics of your car, but can not locate them.  A Roadmaster Mod 71 will mot have wing vents behind the back doors. A Mod 72 WILL have wing vents behind the back door. A Mod 72 is a Riviera Sedan.

The model 71 Roadmaster 4 dr was the short (126.5 wb) model and as noted above, there was no window behind the rear door.  6,738 made

The model 72 Roadmaster 4 dr was the 130.25 wb model   51,212 made  it is the sedan at the top of the photo
