DIY wood grain

My dad taught himself woodgraining, it was a long process to get it right. It takes patience, artistic eye and finesse. It's getting to be a lost art with so many modern methods like hydro-printing and wraps. Give it a go, be patient and have actual wood samples to look at so you can see the variances of ea species.

post-88682-143142759414_thumb.jpg+1 for "Grain-It". I did my Packard and everyone likes it. If your dash can be removed it will make the job much much easier. They offer two types now. Water based is the new one. Learning curve is a little steep but mistakes are very easy to wipe off ( there will be lots of them).
