tom_in_nh
Looking for inner and outer rocker panels and a trunk floor for a 48 Super 2 door sedanete. I assume that the 46-48 are the same. Do they exist? If not, can one modify repop inner and outer rockers for the four door versions to fit? Thanks,Tom
Pete Phillips
CARS, Inc. sells rocker panels and floor pans. They advertise in the Buick Club's magazine each month. 1946-1948 are the same, except Roadmasters have a longer wheelbase than Supers.Pete Phillips, BCA #7338Leonard, Tx 75452
Bill Stoneberg
I had a trunk pan built for me on my wagon by a sheetmetal worker who was a HVAC contractor by trade but liked a challange. It helped that he was a car guy.I Cut it out, gave it to him and it came back looking great. If you enough of a trunk pan, that is an option of you can find someone similar. tom_in_nh
Thanks Pete, I know about CARS, Inc. - they do not make it for the Super sedanette - hence my inquiry.I may order the Roadmaster rockers and shorten them. Thanks Bill, for the idea.Is the trunk the same between the Roadmaster and Super?Tom
jackofalltrades70
All nos rocker panels (outers) were made the same length and cut to fit the series car. I have a nos set that will fit all series. Your best bet is to order the RM and cut them. As for the trunk pan, I have a nice 47' sedanette shell that I am preparing to cut apart to have the trunk pan duplicated and using other parts for a convertible project.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

jackofalltrades70
I will state this. The Roadmaster and Super convertibles are the same from the cowl back. I'm not sure about the sedannetesSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Restorer32
All the woodies from '46 to '48 began life with floor pans from a 4 door sedan which was modified at the back end by Hercules. Ergo The Roadmaster and Supers are the same from the cowl back, at least in the sedans. And that's a fact Jack! Also a '47 Cadillac Sedan has the identical floor pan to a '46-'48 Buick Sedan.
