Steve Braverman
What is required to enter the highwheeler race at Hershey? I'm thinking of bringing my Dad's 1910 Sears just for fun.
sambarn
Do it Steve!!! It's one of my life goals -just have to finish the Chase (someday). If you need crew or help I'm in! I believe that lineup is established during the race car qualifications and run afterward. usually three heats, four cars and a years worth of good times. Steve Braverman
Do I need to pre-register?
Peter J.Heizmann
Steve. As with any AACA Meet you have to be pre-registered which has long expired. As for the High Wheeler race query I have no expertise except adise you immediatlely phone HQ to receive the official answer.I would not "Do It..." only to be turned down after trailering for many miles. trimacar
One of my fun memories of Hershey is going to see all the high wheelers, a fellow had a nice Sears Autobuggy, but he couldn't get it to stay in place, parked, on a slight incline...he grabbed an empty aluminum Coke can and put it under the front wheel as a chock......ummmm, that doesn't work, ya know.... Steve Moskowitz
Patrick, the high wheeler has always been an open event with no registration! Don't bite the hand that feeds you!
Steve Braverman
The Sears is all loaded in the trailer. See you all there.
Steve Braverman
A little bit of rain and I wouldn't care, but today was ridiculous. Car never left the trailer. Maybe tomorrow.
