atlbluz
It has been way too many years since my 1938 Plymouth. I has been started. I can now get back to it. I noticed crystals in the oil. does anyone know what formed them? I will change the oil before I crank it, but I was wondering if something else needs to be done. Has someone had this build up? D Yaros
"Crystals in the oil?" Have to say I have never heard of such and will be following thread to see what I can learn. Wouldn't have a pic of the cyrstals, would you?
atlbluz
D Yaros, I really can't get a picture of the crystals, they just don't show up. I will be draining the oil this weekend, maybe that will give me a better idea of what I have going on.

Can you guys help out?Moderator TeamI suspect that whatever the cause of the crystals in the oil it probably isn't specific to Plymouth. So maybe the thread should be in the technical area. . . Certainly that gets more traffic than the Plymouth area.I wondered if it was water that had frozen but as the poster is from Georgia I suspect the temperatures are too warm for that.
