Marty Roth
We're on our way...Left Louisiana right after last weekend's three-day Louisiana Tour where Senior-Master Judge John Copes was presented Award #8 as member of our AACA Judge's Honor Society. The award was presented by AACA 2000 Past-President John Myers with Past-First-Lady Nancy in attendance. Of course plenty of good Cajun food was over-consumed, and the award was presented at a 1950s Sock-Hop where most of the gals wore Poodle Skirts, and us "Greasers" were in Bluejeans and T-shirts with a PACK OF CAMEL CIGARETTES rolled in the sleeve. Our 1914 Buick was driven to, and from the tour, as well as all weekend long - more than 200 miles. We are really looking forward to the NJ Divisional Tour, and to getting reaquainted with many of our New Jersey friends.......and then on to the Reading Meet !!! Marty Roth
We had a wonderful time on the Southern New Jersey Divisional Tour.Gary Green, Chuck Gibson, Linda McFarland, spouses, and all the committee members outdid themselves, and could not have been more gracious. We visited the Battleship New Jersey (Iowa-Class, along with the Wisconsin and the Missouri) and the Aquarium in Camden. The drive to Cape May, as well as the day there was picture-perfect, as was the weather the whole time. Our visit to Wheaton Village to learn about "Glass-Blowing" was very interesting, and we found $$$everal items which will find their way back to Louisiana.A big "Thank-You" to the region's members for a delightful time, so very well planned and executed.
