Guest ssgeo
I have two photos taken of my ancestors autos in the Minnesota region in the 30's. They look to be early 20's models. Can anyone ID them? The sedan has a distinctive hubcap...if that helps.
oldford
I think the second one with the men on the running board is an early 20's Flint. hub cap, bail handles, drum side lights, all point to it.Frank
nzcarnerd
The one on the left is obviously something lighter than the one on the right - note the difference in brake drum size - unless it is something a bit later with four wheel beakes.. Dave Mellor NJ
The cowl light on the one on the left looks like mid 20s Buick
TheMoneyPit
The cowl light and hucaps on the sedan look like 25 Studebaker to me - Coupe could be Buick looking at the fenders, but I'm not sure there
nzcarnerd
The car on the left is a 1925 Buick Standard Six four passenger coupe Model 25-28. My earlier comparison of brake sizes is right as the '25 Buick has another set on the front whereas the car in the other pic is obviously two wheel brake. nzcarnerd
I don't think the other car is a Flint. The 1924 Flints had disc wheels and the 1925 and 1926 cars had four wheel brakes. The Flint radiator is rounded at the top where this car looks almost flat across the top - like an Oakland from around 1924, but I don' think this is an Oakland though. The two wheel brake Oaklands did not have drums that big.
Leif Holmberg
I agree with "nzcarnerd" the one to the left is 1925 Buick model 28.My first look told me it wasn`t a Buick becuse of the strange cowl light, the bezel looked to big. nzcarnerd
After quite a bit of searching I found that the car on the right is a 1925 Studebaker Model ER Standard Six coach. I haven't found a picture of a surviving car but there is a brochure here - 1925 STUDEBAKER Standard Six COACH Car Print Ad r1518 | eBay
