AlanM
It has been suggested that this locking handle might be for a late '30s Buick. Can anyone confirm the ID of this handle? thanks for your help.
Mark Shaw
Yup, it looks just like to one on my 38 Special
38Buick 80C
Please note however I believe it is an aftermarket handle. The Buick handles had 4 lines, while the aftermarket had 5 as seen in your photos. I went looking for the documentation of my claim which I swore was in the Torque Tube somewhere, but I couldn't find it. Can anyone out there, back me up on this or am I making it up and remembering incorrectly.
jeff
That's my recollection as well - it's what I have on my '38.Jeff

critterpainter
I'll bet that is a "regal" handle. If it does not use a GM key thats a big clue that it is the aftermarket handle.
Guest Two Roadmasters
It seems to be an aftermarket handle because, just like you wrote Brian, this one has 5 lines. There is also another design between the chromed part and the galvanised part, the original has two extra "shoulders" standing out. This one also does not have the lid that you press the key through when you should unlock, the locking cylinder is open.Mats
