STAYGOLD
I'm not even sure this is an actual car part, but more like a tool for a certain car or maybe so weird accessory........I've had this thing for years and I have absolutely no idea what it is.It's heavy, as about 95% of it is made of cast iron.Any clues or information would be great.Thanks.<!-- google_ad_section_end -->
alsfarms
Hi Staygold,Your mystery piece is a section sharpener that was used to sharpen the individual mower cutting blades on the old horse drawn mowers. They are an interesting looking piece of machinery and work good for what they were designed. Probably takes more of a farm guy than a car guy to recognize it...hahahaah.Alan
Larry Schramm
Is the part pictured upside down?

STAYGOLD
Is the part pictured upside down?Larry, No idea which way this is supposed to be positioned...I sat the heavy end down when taking these pictures.
keiser31
Looks like it IS upside down. The clamp on the "top" in the photo clamps to a bench. The other parts on the opposite end hold the blade.
STAYGOLD
I found an area with some writing on it, and then removed the dirt and grease to find it reads "MILWAUKEE"
F&J
There were different styles in looks or brands, but the very odd shaped grinding stone is the way to tell it is for the mower teeth.
