There was a mix of type and style of builds there. Restorations, mild customs and radical customs. There was a truck in the show that I did the chop and stretch on. Made motor mounts out of Ford wish bone suspension arms. I had never seen the finished product. Owner of it won his class at SEMA with it. My favorite was a custom 41 Cadillac convertible. Beautiful car, will show the pictures.

I just walked through the Portland roadster show. Took a bunch of pictures, will post them if there is interest. Quite a few restored cars were there. Here are pictures of a 1941 Chevrolet, it has exterior running boards/steps on it that I have never seen before. Are these original to the car, or are these a after market accessory?

Portland Swap meet and PIR swap meet

If you train for it through out the year. You can walk it in a few hours. It does get harder the more auto parts you have to carry. -

Looks more like an attempt at a 1933 Willys. -
Portland Swap meet and PIR swap meet

And held in the same general location. Google shows 2775 miles in between Portland and Hershey. 41 hour drive, that makes the score on the 38 Plymouth tail light lens really expensive when you figure in gas, hotel and food. -
Portland Swap meet and PIR swap meet

I can not imagine that the Portland swap meet, and Hershey are in competition with each other. I have been to both, Portland many times. And they are very different from one another. In location, items sold, surrounding activities and related car events. From what I have seen, and from what others have said about both swap meets. Is they are not what they used to be. I would put Hershey over the Portland swap meet. In size, automotive related parts and activities. Not talking down the Portland meet. It is a fun must see for any car nut. And lots of good stuff can be found on a budget build/restoration. I plan on attending. My needed list of items has gone down, but there is always beer🍻 that needs to be consumed. And I am willing to step up and do my part.😋 -

I have always thought the front bumper was a little heavy in design on these cars. 80% of the front end is the bumper, bumper is also the grill. To much bumper. -
