  1. I have a nail head engine with the # 1166349-7. Is this a 1955 year and a Roadmaster series?
  2. correct, but this one has been maintained and I also have replace rear sway bar bushings , rear shock link bushings, put new vent window rubber seals in, gas tank is clean, lots of many misalliance items have been attended to over the driving years.. So to through out negative ideas can detour anyone's possibilities of purchasing such a car... My suggestion to anyone is Come And See it for your self and get the rear darn picture.. As someone said in all the above postings, You can buy junk a lot cheaper and then try to restore it.. Then what is the end result? A higher cost and time..
  3. Now up for sale due to my recent health issues. $50,000. One of the very best original's you will find.
  4. i agree. I was thinking if 1934 only had one wiper it would be the 40 series.
  5. A discussion came up about my 1934 Buick .. A person said my car was a 1935 instead of a 1934 model 56s because it has two windshield wipers.. I've never heard of that.. What is you opinion.? By the way my car is now up for sale due to my recent health issue which I will be starting treatments in Oct.. ph: six one eight 889 six 8 five five.
  6. so , I can say my transmission is a 1955 special / Century, thank you for your work on this..
  7. Ok, I'm right on the spot .. I had to scrape all the very hard paint off the area.. All it reveled was the letter or number 0.. there is no other lettering on it.. ?
  8. ok, There is no tag or number around the accumulator. Looking up at the body of the transmission i see embossed numbers on passenger side. Looking at it I think the numbers are 118 1991 but if the number are inverted it would read 166 1118 1. There is another number above this one which reads 12-15.. It is hard to see the numbers because of the very thick paint. A correction on one of the above postings, it reads TWIN TURBO on the bell housing.
  9. Bob, I was under it but I let it down before I read your message.. I'll lift it up again and look for the number.. I did see on the transmission saying twin turbine in embossed letters.. I'll take pictures
  10. also with this car , it has power steering..
  11. thank you for your in-put.. The 1946 operator's manual didn't mention a automatic so I'm assuming that the automatic came with the nail-head engine.. I have to also check out the rear-end..
  12. I have just purchased a 1946 Buick Super that has a 1956 Buick V8 in it.. I haven't been under it yet but I was wondering this car having a automatic transmission if the builder mated the 1946 trans or used the 1956 transmission..? How can I tell the difference if they use the 46 or the 56?
  13. I have this NOS MoPar Heat Riser Valve that I had purchased in the past for my 1954 Chrysler NY. Hemi.. It had the correct exhaust port but the mounting holes was about 1/32 off.. I was going to long gate one of the holes or both and make it work but I got the old one freed up and didn't change it out.. Part # 1485394-32.. price: $175 call 618-889-6855 no text.
  14. I love the 90 series of any year of Buick.. I've owned two in my history of collecting vintage cars.. A 1934 90 sedan and a 1935 96 C conv't coupe..
  15. Very nice , don't let the negative talkers discourage you. There seems to be a lot of them on this particular site. I challenge anyone who knocks it to go and find another one of these ..
  16. I guess everyone should just keep their car home instead of taking it to the car show and just send pictures to the judges.. Maybe that will get you a 1st. place trophy. It would be their opinion which car won without actually seeing it. Would that work..?
  17. 1934 and 1935 Buicks are the same body. I love all the side line experts that give their opinions of someone else's vehicle without even seeing it first hand.. Isn't that why if someone is interested in a car they go and see it or hire someone to inspect it for them? I didn't ask anyone to value it for me.. The true value is between a buyer and a seller..
  18. ok, sounds good.. I'm just being careful of getting everything as it should be..
  19. Would anyone have a exploded view of brake system in the rear brake drum area for a 1934 Buick 50 series? The shop manual doesn't have this.. I've got mine back together but it took quite a while to figure it out.
