  1. The years would be helpful if anyone knows.
  2. I am holding off on making purchase arrangments until I have them tested and ready to ship. I do not want to tell anyone that they will have them and then have an issue with the parts. I will send you a PM one I have confirmed the fit and function.
  3. I put alot of thought into molding them myself, but it just did not seem feasable. I already had them made. To my surprise they were delivered late yesterday to my house. I will have a friend install a set some time in the next week, and I will have one set sent to me to verify the quality. Then They will be available for purchace.
  4. I should be back in mid April. giv or take a week.
  5. They should work on the Riviera also. I will be checking when I get back to the states.
  6. It is a simple process. The R134a is much cheaper and readily available. If you have brought it in for AC service it is very likely they already did it. It will save you money in the long run to switch. the down side is that system is designed for R12 and runns more effeciantly with it. this means that your AC will never be quite as cool with R134a, but most do not notice the change as it is minute especially in our cars that use the same AC system as the much larger GM cars.
  7. Once I have test fitted them I will put them up for sale and let every one know how to get them. Also I will be able to have more made. with a month turnaround time. So worringing about numbers should not be an issue. They will also work on other vehicles. I am currious if the work on the Allante. If so I believe that I will be able to have a few other parts for the rear made. I am not trying to make a profit on these but I am trying to set up a system where I can devolope these and other parts for our cars. Things like the leaf spring bushings, the links for the rear sway bar (thedog bone looking part), and any others I come accross while completely replacing the under side of my car. The trick to doing this is to be able to keep a surplus on hand and being able to develop other items with the procedes. On that note if any one has an idea for parts no longer available let me know. the company I am working with is reasonable and can make most anything as long as I can provide specifications and/or a working modle. Like I said before I am not trying to profit from this, but keep in mind this is the test run and these parts are not produced by major manufactures due to the lac of profit they would bring. With that being said, more complex parts may be more expensive. With the people here and their input I think I can continue to figure out how to make a few more parts available.
  8. I had 50 sets made. I am looking around $25 per set plus shipping. Shipping should be less than a couple dollars via USPS.
  9. I do not have 30 minutes to make them everytime some one wants a set. So I had them factory made. They are being shipped out and I should have them in two weeks or so. I have to test them, but once done I will put them up for sale. They will come in sets to complete both sides and the proper grease. I am a little worried about the posibility of the polyurethane squeak so I went ahead and desided to provide the grease with each set. I may look into providing new bolts and crush washers but that is not a priority and would slow down making them available to people.
  10. Yes it can be replaced, but it will require splicing or opening up the main harness and repinning at the firewall end. One note on the shifting issue. There is not a single item in the control wireing that would cause it to shift/move on its own. The whole selector assembly is mechanical. It is nothing more than a cable connecting two levers. The wiring controls nothing, as far as shifter movement, in the tranny and has no way to force the shifter to move.
  11. turn it to the run (not started) hit the brake a couple times and listen for the sound. I would bet it is a noisey brake pump. If not with the engine off you can eliminate a few other items. (I am assuming you heard the sound while the car was running)
  12. "per the guy that fixed it last time".......Hmmmm....... Find a new mechanic. I would look closely at your linkage cable and then and only then at the shift position switch. Bolth can be looked at fairly easily from the engine compartment.
  13. There is not one. No one has found a reliable source, hense all of us looking for them.
  14. The fiero ones will work. I have done every thing but bolt them in. They are bigger but have the same double d shape. If anyone needs more one them they will have to wait until I complete my swap after returning.
  15. Why would you do all that? You would have to mod the exhaust no matter what so just start with all new parts and do it right. There are several people who have turboed the 3800 with a good amount of success.
  16. This is the one I used. Pac SWI x Universal Steering Wheel Audio IR Remote Adapter Kit Swix New | eBay
  17. Every thing can runn throught the stock brain. I did a small write up on it a long time ago.
  18. With a programmable steering wheel control. It takes the signal from the crt/E&C bus and converts them to an IR signal kind of like a universal remote.
  19. Currently I have my CRT controlling a DVD player with every button working. It is pretty simple to do with aftermarket steering wheel control box. My point being if the buttons are there they should funtion, other wise just rip the whole thing out or buy a 90/91.
  20. I did not say the e&c bus. The crt has issue controlling CD player. I have try many brains and players but the controls on the crt are the tailor point
  21. with all the talk of intergrating why has no one written a program to take over the crt funtions? On the cd player thing, some radio brain boxes can and do control cd players (they used them in GM/chevy trucks), but the 88-89 crt does not work well with the controls for the cd players.
  22. Android already has it. Funny enough it is called torq.
  23. It was on Ebay a bit ago for $50k. I could build one for around 15K, and I thought about it. My issue would be the diagnostics. I refuse to lose them in anything I do to my Reatta, and I assure you he lost them in this one.
  24. Machining by hand would take too long. Also tooling would be alot more expensive than forming molds.
