For whatever it is worth, I concur in the fuel delivery problem diagnosis. I would suggest filling the carb fuel bowl(s) via the carb fuel bowl vent tubes, firing her up and seeing if/how long she runs.
After the engine dies, if you are able to repeat the results by refilling the carb fuel bowl you know you have a fuel delivery problem.

I am a Caddy person (own a '55 CDV), but know nothing about La Salle. You might try the Cad-LaSalle forum or the Cadillac Database in search of an answer to your question.

Looks like a radio delete car? Have not seen a lot of those. Our family had a 48, but it did have a radio.

The Milwaukee Masterpiece also charges spectators a fee. Believe it is $15?

I am not at all surprised by the responses. One trait all old car folk possess is the joy of sharing their enthusiasm for their rides.
Last summer I had a Brit old car guy overnight as a house guest. One of the memories he took home with him was the experience of driving a Cadillac Allante.

Aussie terminology -
The pom call them wings, not us.
Not to needless drag this out but , and I do really find it interesting, who are/what is the "pom?"
You gotta love the english language. Parts of it are a foreign language even to those who speak it fluently!

I do not know that I have ever heard the term wheel spats for what I call fender skirts?

I have been thinking, might you have anything from Wally & Lennertz Oldsmobile that you might be willing to let go to a worthy house. It may not mean anything to most people, but as you know I have a individual connection/interest?. . . .
Your connection to Walter & Lennertz would be, asks a former "Region Rat" from the "Steel City"?

Well, don't keep us in suspense. Share the wealth! Where/what did you find?

This place had to be next door to a Ford dealership or holding lot, as there sure are a lot of Fords parked in a row outside the Buick Used Cars Lot?

"Crystals in the oil?" Have to say I have never heard of such and will be following thread to see what I can learn. Wouldn't have a pic of the cyrstals, would you?

The last 2 are definiitely Olds. The yellow crest looks to be 1948 era. The red one may be circa 1941?

I have to agree, the price when coupled with free shipping, is great. Why does anyone need 3 spare tire wheels? Ask Summit for a ref of someone in your area with the wheels. Then, maybe you can talk that individual into letting you try a hubcap and maybe even mounting the wheel on your car?

I always thought that the GM standard was doors/ignition the hex head key, glove box/trunk the round head key?

You are not able to find factory wheels from a junkyard, Desert Valley Auto Pars or the like I take it?

Pray tell, what are the long high yellow thingies sticking out the back of a lot of the cars? They took the concept of a front air dam to the extreme, didn't they!

If you want to go the professional inspection route, I have used and highly recommend Classic Car & Truck Inspections | Automobile Inspections

UShip? Is not that the outfit on the tv show Shipping Wars? Better not let Jarrett get near this tranny, as he will somehow manage to damage/destroy it!

Without a pic, hard to tell what is/is not possible. If the spout is bad, I wonder if the system is able to be pressurized?
Recommend you go over the the Reatta section of the Buick Forum here and inquire. A lot of folk there to help you with this!

36 Chevy tobacco truck. By Raceron1120
What is this? Did they use to troll the neighborhood streets like the Good Humor man?

Boy, I hear you loud & clear on this point. I too have taken a pass on an item rather than be gouged on shipping. I have actually seen shipping charges far in excess of the cost of the item. This is usually the case where the item is small and easily mailed first class in a mailing or letter-size envelope. There have been times that I wouldn't bid because the shipping was an insult. -
I have to agree on the Utes. Do not understand, given the popularity of the El Camino, Ranchero, etc. why Utes are not available in the U.S.?

I do not see the "numbers matching" crowd falling all over themselves to utilize this proposed service?
