1984 Pontiac Indy Fiero with 89,900 miles. 2.5l 4 cylinder with automatic transmission. It is in fair shape needing TLC. Has power windows, power deck release, and sun roof. Seat leather is torn in a few places but the cloth areas are in great shape, still showing the embosed Indy 500 Logo. Carpets are in great shape, and dash is good. Drivers lower exterior door trim is broke at the front end. Has all the emblems for the Indy Fiero, Indy decals can be bought for the car for about $200.00. Tires are good, backs are brand new (not in pictures). This is a fun car to drive and will make a nice show car with some work, getting harder to find the Indy Fiero's. Car does have a reconstructed title. Located in western PA, 25 northeast of Pittsburgh. Asking $2,195.00 Dale

Easiest way to get that screw out is, next time you have the car out, stop by your favorite auto repair/muffler shop and have them cut it off with their cut off tool(die grinder). In 20 seconds it will be off and save you alot of sweat. Looking better every day.

I agree with jpage. I have seen them behind the door panel, when they are there they push the panel and the escutcheon towards the handle and keeps the pin in. This keeps the escutcheon and handle close to the panel. I think after someone removes the panel, when they put it back together is when the spring gets put between the panel and escutcheon. My two cents worth. PS. Looking great!!! -
Looks nornal at first glance, then if you look closer there is an extra space between the middle louvers unlike any that I have seen. I am not a beetle person though??

One fine car and one great man!!! Been watching this project from the beginning as the ugly duckling, and watching it as it was transformed back to it's former glory. Great job Bernie! Would love to see some glamor shots of it. -

I do love the dads who try to explain it to the young kiddos and even with a valiant effort, gets it all wrong. I never correct these guys in front of the kids. I have business cards with the top 25 questions about Amphicars on the back. I go over and hand him and one with a smile. That is a really good idea! -

Well for me, I get several questions when I take one of the Crosleys out to a show. Most popular question is "what is it?", followed by "is it foreign?", then "who made it?", then "is it legal for the road?" then "what kind of gas milage do you get?" It is fun telling them that, yes it is a Crosley made by Powell Crosley in the USA and it is legal for the road and it get between 35-50 miles per gallon. I too enjoy letting the kids get in them and getting their pictures taken, sometimes even letting them hit the horn button! What better way to get kids involved, then letting them sit behind the wheel and dream. -

I was planning on taking my 1958 Continental Convertible to the wedding but it is just too heavy to haul on my trailer, car weighs 5000# and trailer weighs 2000# on a 7000# max weight trailer. My step-daughter and future son-in-law was hoping to ride around in the Continental as they have the love of old cars just like me. I am just very leary of traveling the 300 miles from the Pittsburgh PA area to Easton MD with the trailer maxed out weight wise. I would be willing to compensate you for your time and effort. If you have an older car that looks nice, open car prefered but older closed car would also be nice, and would be available for November 3, 2012 please respond on here or send me a pm or email. John, In looking at your cast exhaust riser it looks to be tapered slightly where the pipe goes. If you get the new pipe expanded to go over the top of it, it will tend to want to slide off and then will get looser with time. My suggestion would be either to see if the muffler shop has a reducer (yes they can reduce the size of pipe now) or cut the pipe shorter and get a piece of 2" pipe that will slide inside the cast exhaust riser and then make it slide inside the 2 and 1/8" pipe (expand the 2 1/8" pipe), then weld it up nice and then put it together, or butt weld the two pipes together. Will make a much nicer fit and look more like original. Just a thought.
