  1. For sale coaster set $35 Frank Robb 262 832 4223
  2. y-JobFan minor4326. It wasn’t the 1990 convertibles that had the cowl shake problem it was the 1991’s. The only change up front was going from 15” wheels and tires to the 16’s in 1991. When I had one of my Buick dealers swap a set of 15’s on to my 1991 company car Reatta the shake was gone.
  3. Barney, I had a 91 convertible as my buick company car , I was able to get rid of the cowl shake with one change, I had one of my dealers swap the 15" wheels and wheels off of a 90 convertible and it got rid of the shake. I had the service department balance the wheels first before transfedrring them. My 1990 convertible that I currently have ran into somewhat the same type of problem . a number of years ago i bought a set of 17" Lucerne chrome wheels and tires that were new take offs. They looked beautiful on the car but they rode like crap. I stood alongside the tech that I had road force balance those wheels and tires. they still rode terrible. I hated the way the stock aluminum wheel looked and I even told Ed Mertz at one of our meetings they don't enhance the looks of the car. I went back to the stock wheels , had them polished now the car rides great again. Frank
  4. Jim, my name is Frank Robb,Brookfield, wi. Reading your post, I just realized you lost your dad a year ago. I am sorry for your loss. I was the area sales mgr. for Buick motor Division and I called on your dad at bothBerndt Buick and again at Frascona Buick. Your dad was one of the finest persons that I contacted .He was very professional and a delight to deal with.I had many great memories with him. Frank
  5. I had a chance to meet and talk with Ben Crenshaw at a Buick event at Calloway gardens in Georgia, what a fine gentleman and a good representative for Buick in the 1990’s. He truly liked driving Buicks
  6. Just one change I would make.Instead of rain x ,aquapel lasts longer,6 months minimum. It also doesn't streak the way rain x does. Rain water blows off very well.
  7. Yesterday the Cream city chapter Milwaukee had their annual car show.Normally we have two or three Reattas show up,yesterday we had six. We matched the number of grand nationals.thanks to those who came the distance,Frank
  8. I would like to give a shout out to Marck Baker. On Friday at the Buick National meet here in Brookfield, I went to take out a folding chair from the trunk and heard the power antenna running. Disconnected the antenna to save the battery. About a half hour later met Marck,he had a good antenna with him.He changed out the antenna,he was fair what he charged. I was amazed after having worked with Buick Motor Division for forty years how much this young man knows about Reatta. We are lucky to have a person like him interested in our cars.many thanks,Frank
  9. Bob, I have gone in two directions with wheels, first I had a set of 17" Buick Lucerne wheels that looked good but required 1" spacers on the front wheels to clear the shock towers, I then went back to my stock wheels that I had polished almost to a chrome finish. The car rides better with the stock 15's. Frank
  10. Ronnie, I have had good results with all the Zaino products. I use their grand finale spray, It really makes the black pop. A couple of weeks ago I just picked up a 2017 Cadillac xt5 in dark Adriatic blue, it makes this color look good also,Frank
  11. Today, I was getting the Reatta ready for the upcoming car shows and I had forgotten how much I like white diamond metal polish. The buffed stock wheels need a polish at least once a year, this stuff is really easy to use. I finished the car with another coat of Zaino z2 sealant, the gloss is almost high enough where I could shave in it.Have a good summer,Frank
  12. Reatta is still available. Next week starts the car shows that I will show the car. I love this time of the year. Dave, thanks for your comments on my car, Frank
  13. Yesterday, when I was putting the convertible top down for the season I noticed something. Should the tonneau panel be able to stay open on its own? I was juggling with my right hand to hold it open while using my left to drop the top into the well. In section 10 of the shop manual I can't see or maybe I am just missing it any reference to this. Thanks in advance for any info, Frank
  14. Keith, The Cadillac Allantes body came from Italy on a 747. The car then was then final assembled at the Lansing craft centre.Olbuickman
  15. This car is still available, the car shows are just starting. Frank
  16. Ronnie, I have used the information from your website, thank you, I think ol yeller might be on to something . I will try the battery disconnect and then re-program the two remotes.I hate to waste $35 to go to the local locksmith shop for about a two minute job. Frank
  17. I have been trying to program a second remote keyless entry but I have had no luck. I have followed the instructions in the shop manual. The first remote takes the programming ok but when I wait a couple of seconds and try to program the second key fob , I get nothing. Any thoughts, thanks in advance, Frank
  18. For sale is my 1990 buick Reatta convertible, black with saddle trim. It has a black convertible top. When I was an area sales manager with Buick Motor Division I drove the twin to this car for my company car. I liked the car a lot and I voweled than when I retired I was going to find a 1990 in black and saddle and buy one. This car is a show car having won several trophies at all buick car shows. I have meticulously gone through this car to make it as best as can be. I have only driven this car in the last nine years basically to car shows. the price is $17,500. My name is Frank Robb I can be reached at 262-860-3622. You will not be disappointed when you see this car.
  19. When you post a car for sale in the buy sell forum, how do you get the car checksheet to be part of your post, thanks, Frank
  20. RulesReatta, thanks for the compliment on the paint. At local car shows I get a lot of positive Kudos on the way the black paint looks. Keeping it looking great is not just a passion it is a career. Frank
  21. A few years ago ,I stripped my stock wheels using an aircraft paint stripper and then took the four wheels and center caps minus the emblems to a local plating and polishing shop . It was the best $200 that I have spent on the car. Trying to do them yourself without the big polishing wheel is a dirty, time consuming job.So far they have stayed great looking. Frank
  22. Keith, I like the look of your rubber mats in the reatta with the buick tri shield. They look to be a brown color. Can I ask where you were able to get them. I have the same tan trim in my Reatta. Thanks,Frank
  23. Yesterday, I finally got to the point that I couldn't stand the stock delco cassette radio in the reatta with its poor station reception and lack of available programming. I had an Alpine cde 143 bt receiver put in the car. A few years ago I had replaced the stock front speakers with polk audio 5.25's and Jensen 4x10 back speakers. I can't express enough how pleased I am with the way over the air and cds now sound. The neatest feature is the Bluetooth compatibility, now Iam able to stream off my I pad music from Pandora or you tube. The installation turned out smooth with the kit. Frank
  24. Machiner55,I am asking 16'995.Dave is right the wheels are from a Buick Lucerne. I currently have the stock wheels, which I had polished. I have 4 new tiger paws mounted and road force balanced on the car. Frank
