should hook up, if its from a intercooled 5 spd its going to be too much boost for that automatic trans to handle for long,. thats why the TC only makes 160 on the stok computer, its adjusted to that so it doesnt kill the trans. that sounds like the correct computer tho

yea Jeff, the HEP,(hall effect pickup). its the plastic disk with 2 wires that have one gray and one black socket on the ends that sits right under the Distributor cap. they are known to go bad and if they do they may work, they may not, they maybe work on and off. normally a bad HEP will kill the spark. your HEP may have one wire, they are different depending on the year, not sure with 89s

forget it, if its that involved i'm not bothering its not worth the time for the little money. when it comes clean up time here they go in the junk with other stuff i dont need. i might save just the back sections for spare leather like the console cover or patch work, sorry

do you just the covers? if so i can try to pull them off. do you want both sides top and bottom?

i'd hate to pull them apart then what do i do with the rest? the leather is fair, its not great. also dont know if i can get it all off without damaging it

Please make serious offered related to the asking price, no low balls offeres please, i'm not hard up for money, just readying for next project as this car is not it.

if its the amber long rectangular ones, you do it from underneath. if its the markers by the head lights, you do it by lifting the plastic cover above the headlamp or by removing the headlight.

its like the lottery Scott, i paid a cheap amount for my 16V TC. its complete, i great shape for what i paid. Right now i cant find anybody to buy it, 60K miles 16V car for 5800$. oh well, thats life. i'll wait til summer or part it out and keep the motor, trans and wiring computers for something else. The chassis rolling body i can get what i paid for it in parts if i sold it that way i figure.

Nice to see ya Scott, thought i recognized the handle from TD.com The 16V TC and the TIII are very different, but apparently Faust is LOST on TCs, thats why i explained it a little. I picked up my 16V last yr for cheap as it didnt run. I picked up a 89 TC TII auto from CT for 730$ last yr in the summer as it was cracked up in the driverside quarter. its a Crap shoot, fixing it up to sell it at this time of the yr is hard, in the summer you migh have a chance, but i'd advise against unless you get it for like 500$, parts wise, parting it out brings about 1000$ as i parted out the one i bought for 730 as i kept some parts and sold the rest.

TCs didnt come TI. TII auto with 160 HP in 89, 16V with 200hp and then in 90 and 91 the V 6 was introduced. The 16V is also not a lotus headed motor, its a Detomaso Maserati 16V head. The lotus head is on the Spirit R/T and Iroc R/T in 91-93. Get your facts straight. that was a total fountain of misinformation. If you find a 16V TC, but it just becuase the parts alone are worth $$$$$$. i seen a head alone go for over 1500 and it wasnt even complete.

Nada collector value is good on them, but on ebay they are bringing between 1000- 5000$ depending on condition. a 16V will bring more of course, but the price of TIIs has been about 2K in the winter

89 TC hood great shape- 150$ pick up only passenger side fender- 50$ tonneau cover- 65$ driver side door glass- 35$ 4 wheels- 2 bent on inside lip- 100$ for all 4 power seat motors- 50$ each hold down motor(known good)- 150$

Car is completely original, nothing is incorrect, wood trim came as a option, just like the burl wood shifter knob it has. if you wna give me 7K and the 88 528E, i'l blow it up and take a bus back, I hate BMWs, i could have one of those for 1K not to hurt your feelings, but the car goes in all gears, including reverse. and it was something stupid like it being bound up. its getting parted come the spring thaw, Chevelle project needs to get started. I know i can get what I paid complete for it just selling the body. i'll keep the motor, trans and wiring computers for a rainy day project.

those litle port hole windows are expensive, you could do whatever you like, but good ones go for about 300 i think

Ok, It was about TIme I revived this thread. I am still looking to sell this beauty. Right now its sitting under a a good car cover and waiting til the spring to undergo minor repairs so it can be road worthy. I still have the urge to sell it, Too many cars coming up for sale and this car is what's keeping me from buying any other one. price is negotiable, would like to get 6K, if i have to put it on ebay I will and its going up for that much without a reserve. anybody with a genuine interest please contact me.
