  1. Summit has the same price on the tires, and usually offers free shipping (at least in the US), they probably drop ship from Diamond Back.
  2. Thanks Tom. Do you happen to have one I can buy? Thanks, Chris
  3. I am sure it is just me, but I read this ad and think, this doesn't sound like an original owner ( who would be at least 70 years old), sounds more like a guy bought it from the original owner and is flipping it. https://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/cto/d/arlington-heights-1969-buick-riviera/7724523626.html 1969 Buick Riviera ORIGINAL OWNER 65,000 miles - $26,500 (Arlington Heights) © craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap 1968 Buick fuel: gas odometer: 65000 title status: clean transmission: automatic Spring is here! Be the talk of the show with this Original Owner 1968 Buick Riviera! With it’s extremely low mileage of 65,000, and only 1 owner it’s whole life, this Riviera was very rarely driven! It runs and drives excellent. The vinyl interior has no rips, stains, or tears. Power windows, power locks, power brakes, power steering, 430 V8 7L engine, air conditioning, tilt wheel, delay wipers, hideaway headlights, etc. The paint is in great shape and ready for car shows! No rust! The undercarriage and floors have no rot whatsoever, as well as the trunk. The vinyl top is nice and tight and there is no bubbling underneath it. 4. Thanks Craig and Ed, while I like the black with the whitewalls, I like it better with red lines. :>)
  5. Well, those pics are after the first weekend of cleaning, not before. Here is an example of a before and after, that pretty much applies to all of the interior. You can't see the large pile of 0000 steel wool in the picture. :>) And also an engine picture.
  6. Ed, Can you share a link with us?
  7. I know those are the correct tires, and I will probably buy them for my red Riv when the time comes for new ones. Do you have a picture of the entire car? I would like to see how they look on a black car. I have seen the one stripe white walls and the red lines on dark cars, and I really like the red lines.

  9. I purchased it two weeks ago from a gentleman in Evansville IN and it arrived Saturday. Shout out to Cristina at Uberhaul transport for getting it picked up and delivered to me so quickly! Purchased from the 3rd owner, he owned it since 1990 and finished restoring it around 2000. He has only driven it a couple of thousand miles since then. He knew the 2nd owner, who purchased it in 71, and I have paperwork going back to the 70's. It has been in the Evansville area its entire life (until now). Needs a fair amount of deferred maintenance, heavy duty detailing and tlc from spending so much time sitting around. But that is the fun part, right? I am also thinking maybe some red line tires as well (even though they weren't available until 66, but I think they look great on black cars). Super loaded with nearly all options, including power vent windows, cruise, rear seat arm rest, etc. Factory triple black, numbers matching engine and carbs, haven't had a chance to check the distributor or transmission. Needs a full tune up badly, hasn't been done since the engine was rebuilt during the restoration. Haven't had a chance to drive it any further than from the delivery truck to the storage building due to weather. More pics as I continue my clean up.
  10. I will take one, PM sent.
  11. No, sorry Howard, got rid of most all of my 61 cars and parts years ago.

  13. https://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/cto/d/fallbrook-1963-buick-riviera-2owner-ca/7721368100.html 1963 Buick Riviera 2owner Ca. Car Original Leather RARE Turbine Wheels - $31,900 (fallbrook) © craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap 1963 Buick Riviera condition: excellent cylinders: 8 cylinders drive: rwd fuel: gas odometer: 15300 paint color: black title status: clean transmission: automatic I will NOT reply to "do you still have it". If the ad is running, I still have the car. This California, 1963 Buick Riviera is powered by the original 401cid/425 6.6-liter nailhead Buick engine with the original rebuilt Twin Turbine Dynaflow automatic transmission. The car is its original black with one repaint. Exposing the car to bare metal indicated there was never any body damage. This Riviera has the original red leather interior and is in exceptional condition (no tears or cracks). This is a 2-owner California car, I have owned this car 11 years. The sale includes the original bill of sale from the dealer, original black California plates, and pink slip and has a clean title. Equipment includes real “turbine” Buick wheels offered exclusively to Riviera, rare and prized by collectors today. Power steering, power brakes, tilt wheel, remote trunk opener, power windows and power seat, remote adjustable outside mirror, Buick console mounted tachometer, original Sonomatic radio and power antenna. Note the rare Buick rocker trim molding that is in exceptional condition (well over 1K if you can find them). Original Buick floor mats. Speed-minder option for the speedometer. Speedometer shows a bit over 15,000 miles however actual mileage is probably around 25k to 35k knowing the history of this car. I have only driven it 1100 miles in 11 years. I have the original owner’s manual and dealer bill of sale. New Cooper tires with about 150 miles on them. As much as I enjoy this car, I do not drive it much. As I look at the date on my driver's license, it is time to let it go to someone who can enjoy it. The Riviera has been a very reliable driver. Anything needed has been tended to. The car has never had any rust or body damage and when it was professionally painted, it was taken down to bare metal of which I have photos. Would I dare drive it from coast to coast…I would. The speedometer cable was making noise and I had it replaced, now it works intermittently. The power antenna is obstinate however the motor works. Springs and shocks are new. All chrome is fresh and extremely well done. All the power windows work well, and the glass is excellent. Transmission gone through about 400 miles ago. No cracks, tears or damage in the leather seats or dashboard. The original steering wheel is exceptionally nice. This Riviera has the factory optional dual trumpet horns that I removed to paint but never got around to it, they are included with the car. Most Riviera glove box doors are bent on the left side from forcing it open, note this one is perfect. Call for details 760 468-7096 $31,900.00 or reasonable offer
  14. that was what I was thinking too, so I had to buy it. Once I get it next to my red one I will figure out which one I like better and what my next steps are.
  15. No, seller's name was Robin. Thanks, Chris
  16. Thanks. No, he didn't save the radio, but I can find one easily enough.
  17. My "new to me" 65 Gran Sport. I have paid for it, but it hasn't been picked up by the shipper yet, but I am still considering it mine now. :>) This car was a frame off restoration, started the work 1992, finished in 2000 (two different shops). Same owner since 1986 or so. Numbers and colors matching. Fully factory loaded with nearly every option that was available. Sold new in Evansville IN, and that is where I purchased it from. Was listed on Facebook Marketplace. Needs a little freshening up again, but very good bones and real nice looking car. I hope to be able to see it in person soon, lol.
  18. It was a scam, I saw it listed in several places for that crazy low price.
  19. https://maine.craigslist.org/cto/d/alfred-1967-riviera-gs/7712504533.html 1967 Riviera GS - $7,000 (Lyman) © craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap google map 1967 Buick Riviera GS condition: good cylinders: 8 cylinders drive: rwd fuel: gas odometer: 115000 paint color: grey size: full-size title status: clean transmission: automatic type: coupe Brothers car. Mostly original, original paint, sheet metal, interior etc. Very little rust, all surface, no sheet metal replacement is needed. Original bench seat car, No A/C. Original Buick 430, 4 barrel. Has dual angle torque converter Turbo 400, the last year for this performance feature, also has 3:23 posi traction rear axle, 9 3/8 ring gear. Chrome bumpers are in excellent condition, no rust or pitting. He replaced cracked exhaust manifolds (not available, 1 year only) with top quality T/A performance shorty headers, ceramic coated. He did not finish hooking everything back up. Prior to replacing the manifolds it ran and drove fine (I road with him). He replaced rear lower arms, and springs, new locator bar bushings, new body mounts, steering box and pump, new starter and flywheel, brake lines. New Bilstien shocks all around. Aftermarket sway bars, new tires. The new dual exhaust system is in the box, all original parts including "Star Wars" air cleaner are included. To drive, it needs the transmission cooler lines connected, the heater hoses, and the exhaust hooked up. My brother passed away in 2020 and it is stored in his heated, and air conditioned garage. It is on his lift where he left it. Please; if you are reading this ad the car is still available!

  21. what do you mean by it being a bogus auction? Do you think the seller didn't get paid the amount that was bid? he is on FB, and is certainly acting like it is a real sale, and is quite happy with the new record price. His reserve was set at $160k. All it takes is two bidders with deep pockets that really want the car for this to happen (and sometimes some added booze). :>)
  22. "71 GS" aka Brian, has owned both 71-72's and a 65, and he is 6 ft +, check with him. I think he moved the seat back in his 65. #71GS.
