  1. Hello, Mr.39 Convertible, I may have the rear turning signal assembly, I will check. I have the front engine support, but the engine is not for sale as parts, its been rebuilt, and supposedly a running engine. I have the battery tray, as well as the battery cover or heat shield, and possibly ash trays, but, don't know about the plastic handles. Unfortunately, I am leaving on vacation, and won't be back till after Easter. So, if you can wait till then, get back in touch with me and I will have the time to check it out and get back to you. thanks, Paul
  2. Greenie, I haven't had time to take and send pictures of the fender lites as you requested, I will try to do so after vacation, which will be after Easter, sorry, Paul
  3. You might try getting in touch with Pete Phillips for the 215 engine, I believe he has a parts car with engine/ trans. Paul
  4. It takes a lot of looking and clicking on the keyboard, but, its well worth the time, how about a '49 Buick 2 door sedanette on 022, a '42 Buick with a '46 grille on 028, a '42 Olds 70 series Black-out model on 040, and a '42 Olds 60 series convertible on 041, and finally a '42 Chev Fleetline or Aerosedan on 105. That would be a fun auction to attend, I may have to schedule a trip out there, Paul
  5. Hi, when you say, 'whole unit', what all are you talking about, if you would call me sometime, we could discuss it, Paul, 314-574-9853, thanks
  6. You can tell whether its a Special or Century by the distance from the rear of the front fender to the door opening. This car seems to be a Special, the fender is awful close to the door opening. They both use the same fenders, but due to the length of the bigger 320 C.I. engine, the fenders are moved forward, and the hood and side panels are longer. Paul
  7. Sorry, the cam gear has 60 teeth, but, its made of fiber. I guess it wouldn't work too well if you cut 6 teeth out of it. Note, I don't believe in being too serious, life is too short for that. Just my way of living life to the fullest. I just happened to think of something, I have a complete extra 30-46 motor and trans, was a saw mill motor, but I don't think I would take the cam gear out of it. The whole works is for sale if you're interested. What part of the country are you in ? Paul
  8. I will send a picture of the lites as soon as I get out to the garage, thanks, Paul
  9. I still have the fender lites, but, I only have one of the plates that go under the fender, and its not in the best shape, but, definitely repairable. Janne, I have almost the complete car, its a Century, 4 door, had the Sunshine turret top, but the lid was lost. I have the motor, trans, rear end, complete chassis, most body parts, complete belt line stainless etc. What do you need, I may have it. Paul
  10. I have used timing gears from a '28 Master series, don't know if they would fit or not, but if you could give me measurements, we could check. Paul in St. Louis
  11. I have a NEW, still in the boxes, complete interior for a '36 Chev, Standard Sport Sedan, 4 door. I bought it several years ago, and then sold the car. I believe I paid about $1800.00 for it, from Hampton Coach Ints., make an offer, you may own it. It has all the cotton etc. included. Paul, 314-574-9853
  12. I have for sale, 2 complete sets of '39 front fender parking lights, if interested, call 314-574-9853, Paul Thanks
  13. I'm looking for a '33 Buick 4-door body, just need the rear portion, including the rear fenders. I want to graft it onto the '33 white pick-up that I bought on e-bay a couple of weeks ago. Will a '34-35 work, I don't know. Paul in St. Louis
  14. And the 322 is about 3/8 to 1/2 inch shorter than the 364. Just an easy way to tell what you may be buying. They all look about the same from a distance, Paul
  15. I have a low mileage '42 Super engine, was running when I took it out, and sold the body for a streetrodder, only problem, I am in Missouri, and getting that heavy hulk to Pa. may be a problem, and expensive. What you desire, in order to look correct, has to be the 248 engine, not 322 as in Roadmaster, Century and Limited, and '47 on back, not '48 which has the motor mounts on the side. Let me know, thanks, Paul
  16. Thriller, your assumption is true, you can be elected to (2) three year terms, then you have to be out for 3 years, then you may run again, I believe that is right. Someone will correct this if I am wrong. Again, it is and has been an honor and a privilege to serve on the board, no doubt about it, so, give it a try, you will be very pleased if you get elected. Thanks, Paul
  17. I was going to write this request tonite, but, Bill beat me to it. So, I will just add a bit of my own thoughts. He has stated the requirements, but, the love of the Buick Club of America should be emphasized. As some of you, or maybe all of you, may know, I have been a member of the board for 8 years as of next month. I was selected to finish out the term of a member who resigned due to health problems, then, I was elected for two three year terms following that. I will go off the board as of the National Show in Flint this July. Now, let me tell you something, it has been one great honor to be on the board, sometimes it was work, but, when you enjoy what you are doing, it's hard to call it work. It was truly "A WORK OF LOVE". Some of the most noteworthy changes in the club happened while I served on the board, and, I am truly proud to have been a part of it, especially getting Pete Phillips as the Editor of the Bugle. Need I say more. So, if you would like to be in on the 'happenings' of the BCA, think seriously about throwing your into the ring. Paul Meyer, former President, BCA
  18. I tried it on a set of radials, and, they didn't work. The sidewalls of radials flex too much, and the air gets behind the whitewall and keeps it away from the tire. I don't know about holding air pressure, but, it may be a problem, although, I put them on a set of bias ply tires, tubeless, and they held air without a problem. Just my experience, Paul
  19. Thanks for the info, I will give it a try, Paul
  20. At this time, I don't need the radiator, thanks anyway. The part that I really need is the metal that covers the wood sill under the drivers door, it is the length of the door, and it covers the wood frame sill, and nails to the wood both top and bottom, but, it is impossible to nail it from underneath, unless you remove the body, which I am not going to do. Also needed is the very bottom of the cowl where it meets the frame cover, mine is rotted out on the passenger side. It will have to be welded onto the lower part of the cowl. Also needed are the 4 top rest supports that fit on top of the body between the rumble seat and the rear of the body where the top lays on, or, borrow a pattern so I can get some cast. Give me your phone number and maybe I can explain it better on the phone, thanks, Paul 314-574-9853
  21. I'm missing the sheet metal that covers the wood sill under the left door on my '30 Roadster, and also the lower right side of the cowl is rusted out. Does anyone know where I might be able to find a used piece or two? It can be from any '30 Buick, 40 series, I can cut and weld if needed, thanks, Paul
  22. I've been known to do that, but, usually get out of the situation somehow, as a matter of fact, I once sold a '54 Buick RM with factory air to a guy in Athens, Ga. Truthfully, I believe it was a good deal for both of us, Paul
  23. Ken and Sue are good friends of mine, as well as the people I always call when I need, or someone else needs, a part or whatever. I can't say enough good about them, and as they say in the country, "They's good people". Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Paul
  24. From my experiences with the DMV,'department of motor vehicles', most are not the swiftest in the world, and definitely not willing to give you much help, and lastly, "when was the last time you saw one of them smile"? Paul
  25. I got bored the other nite, watched an old movie on Turner Classic Movies, 'Mr. Brandings Builds His Dream House', and he drove a '41 Buick Convertible during the complete movie, all except during the close ups, when the steering wheel was definitely not a Buick. Paul
