When I Googled it looks like it was in the Davis electric buildings across the street from the soap factory, the building it looked to be in had caught fire and is no longer standing and was right next to the train tracks.
It was the old Master electric buildings not Davis electric but I think it was the Davis sewing machine company at one time.

I live in Dayton and never heard of that company, might want to contact the Carillon museum as it has alot of info on products made in the Dayton area.

I have a Monogram 40 Ford p/u model kit that I am thinking about making it a 41 and making it a 4 cylinder version, its been many years since I last seen one and is it similar to a model A engine.

I picked up a other 40,this one was built stock and will get pics when it arrives.

My front seat has broken springs so I need the frame no matter what I do,my local old junkyard has plenty of seats but all have been exposed to the weather but the seats from the 66 have been closed up. I tore apart a bunch of seats at work that have been wet for many years and they were junk.
-
So basicly its going to be left alone now except for adding power to the front seat and that could also not happen as I do have a 65 Galaxie 2 door the power seat track could go in. If the car the seats came out of would have been a 4 door sedan with manual windows I could have pulled off the switch to cloth seats easier with the matching door panels.

The cloth is 165 a yard and the vinyl is 95 a yard,it will take 2 yards of the vintage vinyl to repair the front seat and if I need any of the other vinyl I can get a real close replacement for less then 20 a yard. I was going to spend almost a grand just for materials to go to cloth so just fixing the original cover will be much cheaper, that car is just so unusual with the way its optioned and the later year interior to change the seats but will have power added to the seats which is not that big of change like changing most of the interior.

Well this project is changing directions again,I am going to just use the front seat frame and power parts and replace the damaged areas on the original seat cover and install on the 66 frame. Thanks to the Detroit books I have learned my 65 Mercury is a late production with a 1966 interior so I am going to leave it as it came from the factory with the exception of adding the power seat tracks. The inserts on the front seat is the area that needs replaced and I can get that vinyl from SMS,the vinyl that is bad was not in the 65 book and in the 66 and the 66 seats has a vinyl that is not in the 66 book and could be from a 67.

I am glad I got the 66 book as my 65 has a vinyl that is not in the 65 book but in the 66 book so it looks like my 65 is a late year build with a 66 interior, plans have changed on the seats as I need them to match the door panels more but will be cloth instead of vinyl. I was trying to match it to the new seats but they are all a darker blue where mine are a light and dark blues, yes those 65 cloths I was looking at are available but having second thoughts on spending that much for the material and would have almost a grand in material just for the seats only and can not spend that much right now as I still have not gotten all the bills from the surgery I had last month. This project is not a high priority so I can wait and see if I can find other sources for material, now the seats from the 66 has a vinyl that is not in the 66 book so could they be a late 66 interior.

Nice truck but I think it's a little too high,if it was a half ton it would bring that much but like others said the bigger trucks bring less money. You should be able to get one in the 6000 range if you look some.

Picked up some seats from a 66 Mercury Parklane and the front will most likely need repair since it has a cover on it,got a 65 and a 66 book but both years might be the same so since they both were available I grabbed them. The easy part is getting the books now to find the cloth,I also have a 65 Galaxie that will need the interior redone and it also was originally cloth so I will be spending some money if I can find the cloth.

I now have to clean out a spot in the garage to put them or they will be stuck in the Bronco.

I have some Detroit fabric books coming so I can try to find the cloth, there is a reason there is a cover and some holes were put in the seat to install the cover that will need to be fixed.

The seats are from a Parklane.

I can see where the top has been chopped on the front.
Time to get busy and rebuild a seat

Plans are to install the cloth seat and remove the covers from the original seat, rebuild the original covers then install the covers on the cloth seat frame. The original frame has broken springs and all the springs in the other frame seem to be good.
