39s had different rims and hub caps too.
-
When I build them with the 39 parts I refer them as 40 standards since it still has a 40 dash and windshield, those parts a different between those two years.

Could be a bad turn signal switch, the power from the brake light switch goes to the turn signal switch before going to the lights. Had that happen to a 65 Galaxie many years ago.

Nothing in the shop manual, there is a vacuum diagram for the heating and a/c but nothing for the washer.
-
Still trying to find a washer hose diagram and a picture of the correct washer for a 57.
-
Reassembling a 57 98 convertible and now just getting to hook up the washer so I need to know where the vacuum source is taken for the washer, not sure if it was originally a J2 but is now. Could not find anything in the shop manual and want to put it back to original as I can.

The part the hand crank fits in is the nut to hold the pulley on and the pulley looks to be keyed, now to get the pulley off without damaging it.

Bore is around 3 -13/32.

I remember the first GMC V12 I seen was in a junkyard in a semi, did not know they were made so I opened the hood and seen what I thought was a V6 but looked further back and seen the rest of it.

Years ago I put a Sears under dash air in my 53 Olds,I took it out of a 62 Olds in a junkyard and it worked great. I did find a 60 Chevy wagon at the same junkyard that had the dealer installed air that also had a six, thinking I could use it in my 37 Chevy p/I but it was too large and got sold.

Where are you located as a local old junkyard has a couple.

There used to be a few shops near me but have been slowly going away and one more upholsterer has quit the retail part of the trade and that was me,started working in a private car collection and loving every minute of it. For once I work in a air conditioned building and do not have to deal with people wanting trashed cars fixed for little money.

Would I want one with a four most likely not and it probably ran better then a 41 pickup with a four. Just trying to build a model of a not so common car, might try to build a pickup with a four since I do have a unbuilt 40.

I picked this one to use for parts on the 4 cylinder version but decided to see if I could build it using all new parts and since I am I will be reassembling this one, since this one fell apart I am going to rebuild it as a convertible since I have plenty of new convertible parts.
