The mercury is soaking to remove the paint,I thought the Plymouth was a Johan but is actually a Revell and might trade it for parts I need. Part of the frame on the truck is broken off and might make it a road tractor but do have a flatbed I can put on it,

If it would warm up some I could get the seats switched and the original covers off,I have to do the seat switch outside.

Good luck in finding the parts,I heard some parts were starting to get hard to find 15 to 20 years ago. Does Kantor have any listings for parts.

I still need to find the heater parts for it,

Got the Y block modified to go in (drilled holes through it for the metal axle) and painted along with the chassis and now trying to decide on a interior color, decided to leave the gold and make it look like a survivor and lower it in the front since there is extra holes for that.

Might go with a flathead or Lincoln engine.

Project has been put on hold until I can come up with parts, looks like I have two of one stock hood sides. I have plenty of the smooth hotrod hood sides and might take some time to find what I need. Going to a model swap meet next Saturday so I hope I can find what I need and can continue.

I drove a 67 Chevy truck most of a summer with a bad starter,it would fire up great when cold but not hot so I had to park it on a hill if the stop was going to be quick.

And I will have to buy larger bins to put the parts in.

Found a few more projects in the bunch of parts that I hope to get to,I am very glad I got this collection as I will have a lifetime of parts but will take a long time to go through.

I was planning on only replacing the bad section on the backrest but might end up doing the whole thing if it does not survive coming apart,. Need to see if the material on the back of the backrest is still available as it's different then the rest of the vinyl and just to replace the dark blue strip I will have to order a yard and a half just for it and have a bunch left over.

With some parts from that collection I picked up I now have more parts for the build, been wanting to build it since I built one on a AMT kit. In those parts I found a complete unused chassis and suspension and I had most of the body and interior parts and a Monogram A engine,it will be built mostly 60s and 70s parts but some 90s parts.

Only the interior and bumpers will be original, who ever built it and most of the others in the collection had a thing for chopped tops which turned those bodies into just parts.

I had to buy a little over three yards of the light blue to just make the bead in one piece so I will redo the whole cushion,no sense in getting all that material and only use very little.
