  2. The Hudson parts are in Vermont. I also do not know about interchangability with 1927. I would sell a complete engine with transmission for $500. Let me know if you are interested. Contact me at erskine@us.ibm.com or 802-878-5303 in the evening or on weekends. Bill Erskine
  3. I have not found a new home for this lot of Hudson parts. I really would like to see it get to someone who can use it. I was trying to sell the entire lot, but am willing to part it out. What do you need. All reasonable offers accepted on entire lot or any individual parts. Bill Erskine
  4. After many set backs, the Brush transmission patterns and core boxes are finally ready to take to the foundry. This will be a one time only run. I will get one set made for my use and additional sets that anyone commits to. I will not be making extras and do not plan a follow up run. So, if you are interested in getting a set (main housing and tail housing) let me know ASAP. I plan to take the patterns to the foundry in the next month or so. So, do not delay or you will be out of luck. I can be reached at 802-878-5303 in the evening or on week ends or you can send an email to erskine@us.ibm.com Bill Erskine

  7. Keven said he was having problems sending pictures to some people who asked for them. He tried sending them to me several time and for some reason they were not going through. We finally got them to me so I am posting them here. I hope this clears up some of the questions regarding the condition of the car. The first picture shows where the trunk was cut out at one time and has since been put back in. The cut is along the bottom of the belt line and should be a really easy fix. You have to look very closely at the picture to even see where it is cut. Kevin wants to sell the car. Kevin said to let everyone know that he is sorry for the delay in getting information to people. We hope this clears up some questions and misunderstandings about this car.
  8. As I stated in my original post, this is not my car. I have no skin in the game other than helping a friend and trying to get a car out of the barn and back in use. With that said, the fact that this coupe was cut to make a truck sounds a lot more serious than it really is. The only part that was cut was across where the trunk meets the top. The fenders were not cut. Everything is there to put it back together. In fact, it has been mostly put back together. The only thing that needs to be done is this joint needs to be welded. A good body man could do this in a couple of hours. The good thing is that they cut it right at the transition point so it is an easy fix. This is much more than a parts car. Kevin is not an old car guy and as such thinks the worst. Kevin will be up front on describing the car, but probably error on representing it as less than what it is. If anyone is at all interested, they should have Kevin send them some pictures of this area. You will see that it is not that big a deal. I do not know how anyone could go wrong at this price. 9. This is not mine. I am posting this for a friend. His father bought this 1931 Buick Series 90 5 Passenger coupe in the late 60. It has been in a barn in Randolf, VT since then, only taken out on a few occasions. It is a true survivor and is in good condition. Clean it up and have a very nice original survivor or it would be a good start for a total restoration. It was last started around 2010. Asking price is $8000, which is below Old Cars Weekly price guide. Contact is Kevin Houpt at 802-728-9825.
  10. I saw the envelop and thought that was the messages. I see other messages that I sent and others have sent me, but not one from you. My email address is erskine@us.ibm.com Bill Erskine
  11. I have not received a PM or maybe I do not know where to find one. Bill Erskine
  12. I am in Northern Vermont. There are no foundries close by. I will either need to ship the patterns or make a road trip to deliver them. If anyone is interested in getting castings from these patterns, they need to make it known to get in on the initial run. My plan is to do one run and that is it. I do this just as a hobby and do these types of things to keep my projects moving forward. Once I got the castings that I need, my motivation to do any more will be minimal. Not trying to be difficult, just letting people know where I stand. Bill Erskine
  13. The patterns and core boxes are almost complete. I need to do some sanding, final paint and then some more sanding. They look really nice. Will have to see how they cast. They should be done in about a week. I then need to find a foundry. Any suggestions? Bill Erskine
  14. I am in the process of making the patterns and core boxes to get Brush transmission main cases and tail housings cast. I am probably about 3/5 complete. I am not sure how much the castings will cost or if there will be a discount for quantity. So far a have commitments for 2 main cases and 3 tail housings. These castings will need to be machined once cast. If anyone has interest, let me know. Based on interest, I will get estimates on the price of the castings. You do not need to commit to anything until orders are actually made to get the casting. Bill Erskine erskine@us.ibm.com

  16. IHC Highwheelers used Indiana #2 side lights with IHC script on top. Other lights will fit on the brackets. The IHC script lights are hard to fine. Indiana #2 side lights without the IHC script are easier to find. I probably have 20 or so of them. I have been picking them up for years since I have 7 IHC Highwheelers. The brackets are for a prestolite tank to run the head lights. The correct head lights are also Indiana #2 with IHC script on top. These are even harder to find then the side lights. Bill Erskine
  17. It ends up that I will have an extra set of internals for a Brush transmission. I would like to trade this for parts that I need for my Liberty transmission. If that is not possible, they are for sale. Let me know what you may have or what you may need for your Brush transmission and we will see if we can work something out. Bill Erskine
  18. These parts are still available. I will bring them to Hershey. My space is CF-7.
  19. I have an early Maxwell radiator that I bought thinking it was correct for my 1907 Model RL project. It turns out that it is taller and wider. It has the same top tank shape. I think that it is for a 2 cyl, but not sure of Model. Looks to be in very good condition but has not been tested. Price - $850 plus shipping. The radiator on the right in the picture is the one for sale. The other on is the correct one for the RL. I also have some sheet metal parts for a Messenger. The parts are new, but there is an original Messenger serial number (76522) tag on one of them. They appear to be the seat riser, floor pan, rear deck and ? There are 6 pieces total. Price - $200 plus shipping. I can send pictures upon request. I can be reached at erskine@us.ibm.com or by phone at 802-878-5303 evenings and weekends. Bill Erskine
  20. A couple of years ago there was some discussion about making Brush transmissions. Has any progress been made on this project? I needed some of the clutch actuation parts for my 1908 Model D projects, so I borrowed a transmission and machined out the missing parts. That makes my Model D transmission complete. I also have a Liberty project with very few transmission parts. Since I was at it, i copied all of the clutch actuation parts for that project. I also machined out two extra sets. They are already spoken for. So, at least the clutch actuation parts can be made. They were a lot of work, but doable. What I need for the Liberty project is: all the gears, the tail housing and the spider gear cage. I would be willing to machine out some additional clutch actuation parts to trade for the parts that I need. Any parts or information on the progress of the transmission project would be appreciated. I can be reached at erskine@us.ibm.com or at 802-878-5303 in the evenings and weekends. Thanks, Bill Erskine
  21. Bump - Would like to see these go to someone who would appreciate them. Make offer!
  22. For Sale: I have 150 +/- back issues of Classic and Sports Car magazine. This is a very high quality British magazine. The dates range from 1995 to 2009. They are in very good condition. There are many duplicates. I see that these sell on ebay for up to $25 each. I will sell individual copies for $4 each, $2 each in quantities of 15 or more or $1 each if you take them all. Shipping would be extra. If there are specific dates that you would like, send me an email at erskine@us.ibm.com and I will get back to you with the availability. Bill Erskine
  23. There were major differences between IHC trucks in 1920 and 1928. In the early 20s they had a slope nose with the radiator behind the ending. Around 1922 or 23 the switched to a more conventional configuration. I have trucks of both types. I have a parts truck that is of the earlier configuration. It is in a barn and not in the back yard if that makes a difference to you. I may have some extra parts for the later configuration. What are you looking for? Bill Erskine
  24. I have a couple in the barn. PM me and I will send you some pictures of what I have. Bill Erskine
