  1. I have one of these engines that is missing the top cover and the flywheel with the fan blades. I can not find any serial number on either the jugs or the block. I have to assume it was on the top cover. Does anyone have a top cover or the flywheel or a truck that needs an engine? Bill Erskine
  2. I have a 1923 Stutz Touring parts car for sale. It consist of a very good frame with springs, transaxle is about 60% with a very good case, demountable Stutz 4 cyl T-Head engine that is missing pistons, body is missing one door and rear fenders. There is a dash with switch, air pump and gas pressure guage. The steering and front axles are there. I can send pictures and am open to offers. Bill Erskine
  3. I will have an empty car trailer going from Vermont to California in mid April. I plan to be in Bakersfield on the 16th. If anyone needs anything delivered along the way, I would be willing to accomodate for some gas money. This is an open trailer so I can take one car or who knows what for parts. Let me know if I can help you out. Bill Erskine
  4. Dave, I may have a Radiator and shell for a 1927 Erskine. I have a 1930 Erskine and I know if does not fit that. I had sold it to a guy who has a 1927 and he brought it back and said it did not fit. He seemed to think that there were two different radiators and shells used. It had the Erskine badge on it when I sold it but it did not have the badge when it came back. So, if you give me some measurements, I can check and see if what I have would work for you. I would not sell the shell without the radiator. The price would be $500 plus shipping. Bill Erskine
  5. I am in need of a differential cross and gears. I think they are interchangeable form around 1915 to the early 20s. Does anyone have any for sale or could someone provide part numbers. Thanks, Bill Erskine
  6. I just finished making new hood latches for my 1918 Bearcat project. While I was at it, I made an extra set. They consist of the handle, latch mechanism and the loop that the latch hooks on to. They are exact reproductions but do need plating. They are available for sale or trade. Can bring to Hershey is anyone is interested. email to erskine@us.ibm.com or all evenings (EST) 802-878-5303
  7. I am working on a 1918 Bearcat and need to get some new springs made. Does anyone have a source for springs? They need to have tapered leaves and most of the places I have talked to say they do not have the capability to make tapered leaves. I did find a source in Washington state. They quoted me about $400 per spring plus shipping. Any idea if this is in the ball park? If anyone else needs springs, maybe we could get a better price the more we get made. Any interest?
  8. I have the a 1922 or so Stutz touring car that needs a new home. This was purchased to obtain part for two late teens Bearcat projects. I have taken all the parts I need for the Bearcat projects and am now ready to pass this along to someone who can make use of it. The frame is in very good shape. There is a front axle with wood wheel hubs. There is a steering gear but I am not sure if is correct. There is a demountable head motor that is missing the rods and pistons. The body consists of a radiator shroude, hood?, the coule, floor with aluminum incerts, front fenders and rear tub. There may be doors but I can't remember. There is a gas tank. The transaxle is mostly there consisting of some original parts and some raw castings. Then there are lots of misc parts and pieces that can go with it. This would be a very aggressive project or could be used for parts for a different project. Any interest? Bill Erskine erskine@us.ibm.com Vermont
