  2. LMAO Not sure if rabbits taste like cats, but pay the shipping and it's yours.
  3. Exactly, what state are you from. How is the body. And how much you want for the whole car?
  4. Sounds like a plan. Too bad it won't work as good as it could, be cool if it was on a national tv station or radio.
  5. August Ferdinand Mobius I didn't pay attention to your avatar until I thought about the name mobius. If anyone hasn't heard of the Mobius Strip, check this out http://scidiv.bcc.ctc.edu/Math/Mobius.html
  6. I'll think about doing it. Might be something useful or fun for others also.
  7. Better build a cooler for your nes games. Xbox is easy to take apart, 6 torx screws, 4 under the rubber pads, 2 under stickers. The DVD drive cannot be used as a stand alone or even in a computer. Ps1 (the small compact playstations) might be an idea. They are normally cheap at pawnshops, games are still easy to play and cheaper then Nes games are. You want to be seen in public running on one of those mats? It's your car, do what you want.
  8. Sorry, I won't pick on you. I'm a NES collector and I think you should think about an Xbox or PS2 instead. The Nintendo if played by a passenger while driving would skip/freeze much more then a disk, and the game cartridges could be damaged if left in the car in the heat. The xbox has a dvd drive like a computer and could be detached from the box and mounted in a remote location. The disk could skip but the game loads in advance and should not be a problem. The Ps2 has a DVD player like a walkman with anti skip technology and also loads. But it is more fragile then the xbox and probably should not be removed.
  9. I'm pretty sure Platinum +4's should not be gapped, think it says it on every box.
  10. You asked... and it does make a difference, I can paint a car with house paint and it will look nice in a picture. But I do say the fender trim looks nice on a reatta you don't want to keep original. It'd look especially nice on a car with matching side moldings. Second that antenna suggestion. Maybe those centers would look better painted red, or put the original centers on and paint the webbing of the rims red if you want something different.
  11. Bravo, good speech. I was getting real sick and tired of hearing all these people building supercharged reatta's. They look on eBay, think about buying an engine, and think they can pop it right in their daily driver in one weekend. And they would not need the extra power if they would just take out all their extra weight from their trunk rattlers and other "pimp" mods. There are alot of reatta owners who would like to do what you accomplished. Some might be seriously thinking about it (not bragging about it), and maybe another performance car might show up down the road. For the supercharged, turbocharged and V8 cars that do exist that were built by the respected individuals on this forum, I would like to make a website to showcase the cars and the work put in to them (not a how to). email me at bob@techturds.com if you are interested.
  12. I always have hung mine in the floormat holders in a doityourself carwash and blasted them clean Or this recommended way works also. Clean the bra while it is still on your car with normal car washing soap. After you clean the outer vinyl side, take it off if possible and wash the innerside (cotton / polyester) with the same soap. After that, put the bra aside while you clean the rest of you car. And then reapply the bra either after the bra has had a chance to drip most of the water off or before you drive the car again. The sheen will stay the same as long as you keep it clean. There is no need to put any dressing on it, if you do it will attract dirt and it will restrict the breathing, which dries the bra. LeBra does make a product it recommends to apply which wont hurt the bra.
  13. I just dealt with the broken cat rattle and the bad rubber doughnuts, now it's quiet enough to hear my brake rattle.

    used bra?

Too funny cargirl, does that come in pink? I've never seen a bra on a reatta, anyone have a picture of one to post?
  15. Automotive stores sell a conductive paint for fixing broken defrost lines, might do the trick, but I don't have a convertible so I don't actually know what I'm talking about. Good Luck
  16. Maybe I should of used the term short, instead of rude, I don't blame him, I admitted it was my bad and I could of looked harder instead of asking the same old question. I've heard he's a good guy, but anyways.. Jim Finn is the man to talk to. You need the slave cd drive which hooks up to the original radio. A new trim piece to replace the mini storage box below the radio where the cd player is then mounted. And 4 connectors to make a new harness and the directions on how to wire it in.

    Brakes

Brake pads, routers and brake lines I call maintenance, and they all give warning and can be visually checked. The only way someone outside this forum knows to get this problem fixed is to have their brakes fail. Guess I thought I had a good question, maybe I'm wrong.

    Brakes

Why hasn't there ever been a safety recall for the brakes on the Reatta and similar cars? This place does a great job to stress the importance of testing the brakes. But there are many owners out there who do not know of this site, and others who do not use the internet. A big thanks to everyone for their efforts to help others with this potential disaster, and who influenced me to park my car until I can get it fixed and able to pass the brake test.

    Do you do it too?

I do it too, sometimes I will even look out the window at it. I also like to watch it drive off when I let others take it for a spin.
  20. Thanks for the advice reattadudes, sounds like a good permanent fix. I would of replaced mine just to have to probably have the same problem down the road. Warm cd trick didn't help. I looked into alf's rudeness more and do see he posted the same fix a few weeks ago, but I over looked the original post/question because it wasn't the same problem I was having with mine. And I didn't know to put " " around my search to find more accurate threads, so I was skimming along and wasn't find anything. It's all good, I pick on newbies from all the other forums I belong to also.
  21. Cold air intake I think is the best bang for the buck as the Reatta has the smallest stock air filter I've ever seen. Also Bosch Platinum +4 spark plugs (Napa $6ea.) seem to make it run a little smoother and quicker. Might be enough to make her happy, especially if the plugs are old and the filter is plugged. I'd stay away from anything you see on eBay that claims to add 20hp for 10 bucks.
  22. I'm 24 and just getting into this cult, well I like to call it church, I attend service in my garage almost every day of the week . Just have to hope more people in thier 30s join in, the younger generation would get into reattas and start putting on huge mufflers, neons, body kits and stickers .
  23. In a 1990, when I put in a cd, it spins for a few seconds and then ejects it and displays an error. It's never worked for me, but if anyone could give me a heads up on what might be wrong, or who could fix it, I'd appreciate it. Thanks
  24. A persons love for a Reatta lasts longer then most marriages . If my wife ever told me to get rid of my Reatta, and wanted a dodge, she would be out the door so quick. Now if she wanted the new GTO that is a different story .
