  1. It was built several years ago, for the Houston, Texas art car parade.

    1953 Desoto

    Congratulations, that is a great looking Desoto.
  3. I did this set of 1965 Texas plates.
  4. I've only had it in one show. It was an Oldsmobile Club of America zone show. My car received Chairmans Choice, and class awards. Most of the shows here in Houston are 1979 and earlier, or it is put in with newer Mustang's, Corvette's and Camaro's. I don't bother showing it. Very few people seem to have an interest in it, it's not a muscle car. The car is all original, except the two outside mirrors have been repainted, and I know have different wheels on it. The 205 70 R13's are hard to find, and they are expensive. For driving, I have American Racing wheels, and 14" tires
  5. It's really nothing special, but it is mine, and I bought it new in June 1985. My Oldsmobile Calais has a 5 speed manual transmission, HD suspension, and some other odd options.
  6. Looking at page #8, of the dealer brochure, radial tires were standard. http://www.lov2xlr8.no/brochures/mercury/78mq/78mq.html
  7. I thought I was the only one that had one of the little Pinto's. I actually have two of them.
  8. I like my oddball 1985 Oldsmobile Calais with a 5 speed manual transmission.
  9. Great find. Do post more pictures when you get them home, and cleaned up.
  10. Try this; http://www.licenseplates.tv/michigan-164.html?sort=20a&page=1&=
  11. I've owned two 1958 Edsel's. The first was a Pacer, and the second was a Ranger. I'm looking forward to see the progress on yours.
  12. My 71 Pinto, had 200,000 miles on it when I sold it in 1979. I still kick myself for selling it.
  13. The headlight 'rings' on all 58 Edsel's came from the factory painted body color, not chrome. There was chrome trim around the recessed area of the tail light lens on all models. It seems to have come off very easy on most tail lights.
  14. Thank you for posting the pictures.
  15. One of my prize hood ornaments, is this 58 Edsel hood ornament, new, still in the box, with the reciept;
  16. My Orphans; 1969 Road Runner 1985 Oldamobile Calais
  17. Great site, thanks for posting it.
  18. What kind of information are you looking for? Here is a set of Texas plates that I restored: ?
