The grills have 6 or 8 plastic post that pass through thr door panel and are attached with nuts nat from flat pressed sheet metal. if the nut is sticking up for can remove them with a wrench. If they are reversed I haven't found a tool to remove them. Either way you need to remove the door panel to remove the grills. I have been able to remove the speakers by just prying the panel bottom, sides & middle pins leaving to tops attached. Be sure to remove the door pulls and plastic bevels around the door handle. You should have enought room to get them from the bottom.

Try M&R Electronics at www.mnrelectronics.com. They will idscount the repair if you send both and the cd now plays the cd-r and rw formats.

Try Steve Pierce at spierce64@sprintpcs.com . His price to repair these is around $100.00. He fixed mine in two days a few years ago and it's still working.

With the latch in the closed position and the key out depress the metal pin on the top rear just behind the face of the latch. With this pin depressed insert the key. The pin will now stay depressed. Turn key clockwise to the 4 oclock position and remove key and latch. To reinstall insert key and lock, making sure the pin on the rear of the cylinder lines up with the slot in the sliding locking bolt in the latch. Turn counterclockwise to the 12 oclock position and remove key. the metal pin will release and the lock should function normally.

Are you trying to play a CD-R or CD-RW? The R/RW format wasn't around when these stock cd players were built. I sent mine to M&R electronics for repair and updating. When I got it back it now plays the R/RW disc.

What year is your Reatta? The window problem is probably a broken regulatorthat need replacing. The headlight motors need rebuilding (new roller bushings if you can hear the motor working). Not a hard job to do yourself. The starting problem could be a few different things. The cylinder mechanism could be worn. The metal rod the runs along the bottom of the steering column from the lock cylinder to the starting switch could be worn or bent. The starting switch might need replacing. The first two options are difficult to fix and you might want to leave it to a pro since it involves dismantaling the steering column.

I thought this happens when the freon funs low. It protects the compressor by going into econ mode.

I don't know where you live but I had mine repaired by Steve Pierce. He repairs a lot of these and does a excellent job. The last time I checked he was charging $100.00 + $8.00 for shipping. I live close so I dropped mine off. He got it on Friday and called Sat. evening to say it was finnished. Works great. scirocco841@netzere.com I think he also runs his services on Ebay.

Chuck I live in Cockeysville and own 4. 88 silver coupe with gray int. 87000 miles 90 gray coupe with gray int. 75000 miles 90 white coupe with gray int. (in paint shop) 88000 miles 91 burg conv with tan top and int. 61000 miles All are covered up for the winter but will send pictures when I get them out.

I had the drivers side on my 90 replaced last year. The weather strip was still available but expensive.

I live in Md but sent my radio and cd to mnrelectronics. They give you a break in the price when you send them both. They also updated the cd so that it now plays the cd-r and rw's. I also sent another Reatta radio to a place in TX. They were cheaper than mnr but not sure if they fix cd players. I can't recall the name of the shop but I got the info from an earlier post. Either place did excellent work.

New windshields today will run about $1200.00 new. I replaced one with a used piece of glass for $475.00 including the removal from the wreck and installation on my car.

You might also want to remove the rear lic plate. Sometimes this gets in the way when reinstalling to light assembly.
