  1. Novaman, I sent the first photo hours ago, I just snapped a few more for you with a blue towel behind it, MSN servers are slow tonight uploading the photos. But they are on the way. If you dont need the rad. shell in the photo, I can lay it on a white or blue towel and snap away. Karl
  2. David, just sent this photo of my Wills motormeter, but red line is mostly on back so driver can see it..., If you want it from that side, let me know. Karl
  3. Hello ChiScouter, Welcome to the forum...These jacks were at nearly every service station in the "old days". Today they sit in the corner at most shops who still own them, as they are too tall to get under most modern iron. Low oil will keep the jack from going the whole way up, air at the pump, will make the lift small with each handle pull. I have seen many working jacks of this type change hand for under $200.00. Most jack repair shops get over $100 to repair one. If you work on some old cars from the 50's back, it could come in handy as some of these cars can be 2 tons or more. Hope this helps. Karl
  4. Hello All, My Flea Market space renewals came in the mail Christmas Eve, you should all see them soon. Karl
  5. DZ, can you e-mail or post a photo of the wheel? I just picked up 4 wire wheels that are marked Chevrolet, but don't know the years. If not I will post a photo of one of them. Karl
  6. Pierce Arrow uses Ross from 1932, can you post the numbers in casting? Karl
  7. Nick, I just checked Car Crazy web pages http://www.carcrazycentral.com/, still no new schedule for the Feb. 05 new winter shows. They are still running re-runs of last year. A few years ago Hemmings Road Show did a spot in my spaces at Hershey and sent me an uncut copy a week after it was on TV. I hope the guys at Car Crazy do the same thing. Karl (for those who looked at my old post on Steves post... Autographs are still free)
  8. I am taking the grandchildren to the Phila. Zoo next weekend and was told there is a Wills Dealer Building within 2 blocks of the Zoo.I am told there is "Wills Logo" still showing in the construction of this building. If I am this close, I would like to get a few photos of this building. Can anyone help with an address or new or old photo? Thanks, Karl
  9. Did anyone go to this auction and have the prices on the Packard and Stutz? Thanks, Karl

  14. The Hershey Region presents the dates at the AACA Meeting in Philly 4 years out. They are approved there. Coin should be good! kk
  15. HWS,& Doug, as soon as you get one of those, forward it to spoof@ebay.com You will get a message from them thanking you and they will contact bob etc... I also get them asking for the same stuff from paypal. Forward this e-mail to spoof@paypal.com and you will get the same response from the real corps... This will help to end that thread, but I still get a "new" request about every 2-3 weeks. DO NOT REPLY TO THESE THINGS!!! Karl
  16. Doug, Maybe if you start now you can have a set of whiskers like Ron and that "other guy" from "MY CLASSIC CAR" Dennis M... , or, If we ALL start now, I think Ron and Dennis would still have longer curls by Hershey 05. Would that be a photo!!!! Karl
  17. I had to join in here .... My spaces of tools and jacks were found by the media too. Hemmings Motor News interveiwed me for the front section of "NEWS" for an up coming issue on Thursday morning. Next day I had a 1/2 hour interview with Barry Meguiar, I was also told it would be part of "Hershey 04" on "CAR CRAZY", to air in February 05. On Saturday morning Antique Roadshow spent 20 min. in the booth with camera for their shows FYI segments. Since the Meet I have been still signing autographs for free, BUT LOOK OUT AFTER FEBRUARY!!!! I am going to look at ALL the TV deals that come in after these shows air, then make my best deal I also here that next year someone with a really "big moustache" will be at Hershey 05 with a camera crew!! More fun on Friday was the second annual Wills Ste Claire Owners Meeting at 9 am.on another sunny day. (see attached photo). We had a great turnout and everyone attending received a Wills hat. Hershey is only 354 days away, I CAN'T WAIT!! Karl
  18. John, thanks for the photo, The ones I need use a different clincher clip and a separate nut. Karl
  19. Howard, I was at the Museum today. Everything is fine up on the hill. The blue field north is covered with water from the entrance in the "cut of the guard rail" on 39, to the creek. Looking at the row posts the Region has already put in the ground, the spaces all look to be south of the water. this area is dry. Sorry, no camera today. The route 39 road birm was covered on both sides with only a strip of dry blacktop for 200 ft. till the bridge. It looked like 1-2 foot of open space under that bridge today. Anyone who has eaten at the Canal House Restaurant during Hershey... the road to there has 4-5 ft of water on it, only the hump of that bridge is out of water. It cant be good in the town. All roads were open to the park today. The one (golf) fairway you can see coming towards Hershey Park, on your right, just before the show field had at least 10+ foot of water covering the entire area. the cart path on the side hill was also covered. Take a look at this path when sitting in line in 2 weeks. It was deep in there!!! There were about 10 great looking Packards in the parking lot of the Museum today as the owners toured the exhibits. Karl
  20. I went with Stainless sleeves in the 26 Wills Ste. Claire. I was quoted a price of $80 with new bleeder/cups/pistons/dust covers. They are doing fine after 4 years, I am told that's all the rebuilder will use. I paid $120 for sleaving the Master cyl with all new but the piston. I use dot 4 and flushed them one time, at 3 years. Fluid was still nice and clear from the start of the flush. I think the "flush is more important that the brass or stainless. However the brass price was only $20 less per cylinder at that time. Moisture kills cylinders, brass has been used with brakes for years as hose connectors, tees etc!! Karl
  21. Dan, are you coming to Hershey? I will have 40 + wheel pullers that thread on in place of the cap. Bring a cap to match thread size. There were a LOT of different ones used. Too many to guess! Karl : Spaces row C4B 1-4
  22. Steve, just buy it! It's always easier to ask your wife for forgiveness, than get permission to buy another old car. Karl
  23. Speaking of storage, how many of you that have unheated garages with pre-1930 autos, jack the tires up off the ground for the winter? Or put plastic under the cars, on the concrete, as a vapor barrier? As for price, 75.00 seems to be the going rate for cars around here. Karl
  24. Randy, thanks for the help on the link. I just went to edit the "P" and it comes back. I found if I double clicked on it, it went to the page without deleting the P. Anyhow, my point of this thread was to show how someone, "an expert" on old tools gave this seller guidance on the value of this jack, and thus the $1000.00 opening bid!!! Karl
  25. I just ran across this "for sale" auction for a vintage jack! It may have only cost $1.00 to list... but what were they thinking? paste this address and have a look and laugh. Karl phttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI...;category=43998
