  1. Is it a camp trailer now or just luggage transport? Good use of leftovers IMO.

The sister car in the catalog has a runningboard tool box on the left side AND a rumbleseat step plate now that i'm looking for a second time. . With just one outside rearview mirror I think the second photo shows the correct (as photographed) side. Right hand drive with a mirror on the right post would only allow you to see cars parked along the curb.
  4. Don Lang at Lang's Old Car Parts 1-800-T-PARTS-1 would my first choice. Happy customer, not related in any way.
  5. Another great photo! Notice the bodies are different and this one has more common style wheels/rims. If I had the choise I'd take the first one.
  6. How cheap was land in downtown whatever back then?
  7. Is the car on the right (bottom photo) another Tourist? Looks like the one in another thread but without the hood mounted horn.
  8. I wonder if this is the exact same car in the photo printed in the Standard Catalog?

    Speedster ID

Dredful, could be some VW powered kit or a badly rebodied British chassis.
  10. YES!!!!!!! That is the "Real Deal" it used to be owned by a member of the Westchester (N.Y.) Region of AACA. Last time I saw it it was still in its original paint and upholstery.

  12. Bob, rethink what you just asked for. I don't want some DC bozo forcing me to retrofit NASCAR safety features on my 1912 T after they tax the ownership of it to death.

    Indy 500

YES! That Jimmy Clark car was it for me too! I never knew it at the time but I stood next to it in the barn at Lime Rock back in the 1970s. Ford painted up a few others and they hit the show circut, the Clark car had unique rear suspention featured that ID'd it from others. West, if I could I'd have a MILLER from the 1920's and the Sparks-Weirick two man #33 from the 1930s, the Ira Vail 1919 Hudson, and any MERCER that ran INDY. Any Kurtis/Offy Roadster from the 1950's would make the perfect collection.

    Indy 500

It would be interesting to know when the INDY 500 ended for most people. Sure I watch it out of habbit but it is no longer the race it was. Mid 1960's was the last of the good looking cars IMO.
  15. I wonder if any notice is placed in local papers to attract spectators to AACA National Meets? Some local clubs fund their club events from show admission.
  16. Personally, I wouldn't want to be found dead in that POS.

Thank you for another great photo. Looks like all American cars somewere in Europe. Are the tires oversized of is it just the photo angle?
  18. THANK YOU!!!!!!! I could have had the remains Dave mentioned. But the chance of ever finding the engine & trans caused me to pass. Is the car in the vedeo a sister to the pace car at the FIRST INDY 500? Is it the same car that was at Hershey 2 years ago? How is your SD project moving along. Could I have your permission to post the video on another site since there is an INDY connection. Best wishes, Bob

  20. Your old gas is far better that the gas availabe the day the car was build, just drive it.
  21. If my memory is right the car sold to someone in Europe, it was unrestored at Hershey.
  22. Yes, it's a 1924 Meisenhelder made in York, Pa. is this the one that was in the Hershey flea market?

Ok, maybe it is a removable two passenger seat. Indian had a Tricar in 1906 were the passenger seat was in the front, very much like the first AC trikes.

That 3 wheeler on the right is VERY rare, think it may be an Indian, I'll do some research and see if I can confirm that. Keep posting these photos!
