wht are your experiences with front vs rear tire pressure. i have found , on my 89 tht 35 front and 30 rear gives me the best ride. and actually , previously when i was 32 all around i would sometimes get a rear hop. this new 35 vs 30 is great . i know our reattas are top heavy. this works. let me know wht u guys think?

do u think its a good idea to make that type of mod on an old engine. i am no expert here. it seems to be a push, unless everything else has been rebuilt. btw i love my 89 and it has plenty of power with 180k

yesterday somewhere around 4 or 5 pm my parking lights went on by themselves. i couldnt shut them, so i had to disconnect the neg batt cable and it must have reset itself. how could this happen??? should i get a priest and have her exorcised?

funny, i used inexpensive rotors and pads and have no rattle, but i did butter things with white lithium grease

my 89 , u cant use compression tool as in front , u need the special square head socket to rotate, not compression as in front

the spring is for the e brake. u need a rear brake caliper compression tool. ask for it in the auto store. its a square multi head tool that fits into the correct caliper to compress it . it goes counter clockwise. u can get it for 3/8 drive or wht ever your ratchett set is. good luck

the one thing most of us agree on is the powertrain in our reattas . the 3800 has to be one of the best engines gm ever made. its amazing how smooth and strong mine still is with 179k on her. all on regular gas. which , by the way , u almost need an home improvement loan to fill up these days.

i have a problem many have faced , with my 89. the touchscreen comes and goes. is there a chance i could fix this by disconnecting , cleaning connection and reconnecting? thanks guys. she runs great otherwise.

i am sure quaker state is great , hasnt gotten maybe as much publicity as late as it used to.

personally i think all synthetic critics should be wiped out. lol

i have been using synthetics since mobil 1 came out around 1977 or so. i have found no problems at all with synthetics, in fact, like someone said here, all measureable tests indicate the superior qualities of synthetics. i do agree that clean quality oil is important. i think its also important to warm an engine before driving . i will continue using synthetics, i do believe they run cleaner and are slipperier. its important to keep our engines as clean as possible as they get older.
