You only need the resistor if you want two different speeds. I am guessing your RIVIERA will not be out in bad weather. If it is the defroster will work as long as the car heat is OK. Gene. I might even have a resistor if you think you really need it.

Mike, I did go to Gettysburg and I am sure I bought some shirts. If I recall the shirts were at a shortage for some reason. I do not know what was on the shirt. If anyone has one a picture will help me. I shove these shirts in every nook and cranny and then they wind up in a plastic bin so they don't get destroyed. To George, yes my dad went to many shows. He even got thrown out of the Cape May show due to a conflict of interest between him and the desk clerk. He was a lot of fun to be around. He even introduced me to Tom Hanks. You might try prying it up with a thin screw driver on each side inside the brackets. The bottom brackets hold the radiator in place and pulling it up is how it should come out. It could be stuck in there. I had many problems with things not coming out. 65 years is a long time. I have removed the bolts on the rear of a drive shaft and had to use a sledge hammer to get it free even with all the bolts removed. Don't give up. Gene.

It seems to be stuck in the rubber in the bottom brackets. Try wiggling it a little. Gene.

I have a 1955 Buick antenna and I think a 1953 Buick Grille piece. I am selling each item for 150 dollars plus shipping. The antenna is in great shape and goes all the way up and down. It comes with the bracket and cable. The bezel looks good with no pitting. It looks new. I don't know if it was re chromed. It has a small bump in it but is not damaged. Thanks, Gene
