  1. Had mine done this way at Brake Materials & Parts 800 Sherman Blvd., Fort Wayne IN 46808 Phone 260-426-3331 The price was very reasonable too.
  2. Pat, I have a copy of the information for the Chrysler 70 & 77 radio. Send me your email address and I'll send you a copy of it. It was a 3 piece ( speaker-battery-radio) unit. wolfe@wesnet.com. Give me a couple of days, I'll have to look for it in my files. I think it was a Transitonic radio. Tim Wolfe
  3. The sales brochure was put back up for sale today. Look at the Ebay auction for 1930 Chrysler and see if the engine photo looks green-----could it be the photo?
  4. Need the round or oval ones. Trying to help a friend locate them. wolfe@wesnet.com
  5. There was a sales brochure on Ebay a while back that had a 1930 engine that was green. Send me your email address and I'll send you a copy that I downloaded. My engine will be painted meadowgreen with a silver head. wolfe@wesnet.com
  6. Just had my locks rekeyed ( 1930 Chrysler )and new keys made by an older man. Did an excellent job at a very resonable price. He has a lot of old car locks too. Call H. Brust at 124 West Light Street, Urbana, Ohio 43078 phone 1-937-652-4682. He was great !
  7. My project was dropped due to lack of interest from other collectors. I can tell you where to purchase these air cleaners if you need one. wolfe@wesnet.com
  8. Looking for the oval dome lights for a 1964 Olds 98 for a friend. She bet the wife that we wouldn't be able to locate a set. Contact me at wolfe@wesnet.com
  9. I'm still getting quotes to reproduce them just like the originals. They could be modified to take a new filter. Size would just about limit you to a lawn tractor air filter. I'd like to get enough orders for ten or more of these, that would hold the price down because of the die charges. So far, there hasn't been enough interest to make a die and produce the parts. I can email you a photo of the air cleaner on a DX-3 carb. if you send me your email address. I didn't see an email from you previously. wolfe@wesnet.com Tim Wolfe
  10. Send your email address to wolfe@wesnet.com and I'll mail you a photo of the cleaner on a DX-3 carb. and give you more information. What is the outside diameter of your carb. where the air cleaner clamps? Tim Wolfe
  11. Anyone interested in exact reproduction air cleaners for the Stromberg DX3 carberutors? These are for the downdraft carb used on the 1929/1930 Chrysler and possibly other cars. I am working with a company to do a small run of these if anyone is interested. I'm not doing it for any profit, just want to share the expense equally if I have them made.
  12. This is an older gun and might need rebuilt ( bearings and motor vanes) these can get expensive. My advice would be to look for a newer unit. Dewalt and Milwaukee make good impacts and parts are available. I think I have a parts breakdown That I could copy and send to you if you need it.
  13. White Post Restorations just rebuilt all my brake cylinders and put new bleeders in them. They have a web site. They aren't cheap.
  14. Are batteries judged? The new gel or dry batteries are great for cars that aren't driven as much as a daily driver, but my car had a tar top 6 volt Willard when it was built. Sould I spend the extra money for a reproduction battery?
  15. Thanks gossp and dana, I copied what you sent and took it to the restoration shop. It was just as he thought it was.
  16. Thanks, your picture shows that the wood grain covers all the trim and not just the small area inside the white pinstripe. I'd like the pictures of the dash too so I can send them to the restoration shop. This is a great help to me.
  17. Thanks Marty & Dana, I have another model 70 and I'm going to try to clean a small area and check if there is wood grain under the dark color (the car is all original)
  18. Anyone have a photograph they can share of the woodgrain for this car? I can't tell if the woodgrain is just in the middle area of the window trim below the glass, or if it is solid and just a darker color then the center. Any help would be appreciated.
  19. There is a sales brochure on ebay right now that shows what appears to be a green engine. "Three New Chryslers" under 1930 Chrysler.
  20. GatorAirTools.com has this 1/2" impact for $215.00. I have an Ingersoll and it works fine and is more powerful then the cheap tool store kind. Make sure you use a good air tool oil in it as directed. You can also have this tool rebuilt at a good tool repair center. (I do tool repair at a large hardware store for industry and contractors)
  21. My thanks to everyone who answered. I called the AACA Library today and talked to a very nice lady. The only information they had said that the engine could be green, but the information was from an article in the WPC magazine. She was going to do some more looking for me and mail anything she finds so I have a copy. Told the restoration shop not to paint the engine until I get back to them. I will attempt to contact 1930 owners and ask them their engine color and if the have records for the color.
  22. Thanks for the fast response-But how would you judge this if Chrysler didn't keep records of it? How would the judge know what was correct?
  23. How would the engine color be judged on our 1930 Chrysler? I've seen green engines and black engines. Chrysler has informed me that engineering didn't release the colors, but thought they could have been black. Any help on this before the restoration shop paints my engine would be appreciated. Tim Wolfe wolfe@wesnet.com
  24. Do you sell the reproduced decals? I know a restoration shop that could make a new body for your basket case if you are interested e-mail me. A man in Minster, Ohio has several Auburns he is restoring. wolfe@wesnet.com
  25. We have a coupe and a brougham, one has the green block and one has black. They were built in 1929. I can not find any paint specs from Chrysler. Anyone who has these paint specs--Please jump in and help us out.....
