  5. IMHO: Because of the cost of gas, lodging, etc, I have since taken my past flea market business to the web. I do it privately, and keeping up the inventory, keeping a database, shooting images, is incredibly time consuming.. I have to advertise to bring customers to the site (costly).. sure could not make a living doing this, nor have a life either. I wish there was an easier way... I still do it since I really enjoy the hobby and love talking to hobbyists, all over the world.. Although I have had to stop helping people identify things that they put on evil-bay. It would be an huge task to keep track of things..
  6. I found an article in the New York Times Database of vintage articles from Dec.3, 1922. It explained the Headlight types that were to be allowed for use in New York.. gave a list of them.. very interesting.. it is copyright, so you will have to search for it.
  7. Thanks Bill, for the good words As time went on and more an more cars were on the road, up popped lots of lens "designers" who all toughted that their lens projected the best light.. once people saw these different patterns they all wanted to get into the act, and replaced the originals with fluted, or patterned third party lenses. Finally the government made a list of lens types that were "Legal" and made some not suitable to use.. ~Larry

  12. Hello Marty, On June 4th I sent an image via email link, of the only lens I had... At that time you said that Barry Eash would send me an image, which I never received. You described: "My lens is clear glass with vertical "fluting" and an "X" design centering on the name "Guide" in "script" in a six sided figure. The script is kind of silver colored with a a green backround", I asked if there was a metal shield over the lens, and you did not know.. So I did reply to you.. perhaps you missed my email.. Let me know if you can send an image.. Thanks, L
