The weather forecast looks good so far. I hope will see you on Sunday (I may be too busy though with my chores ). We anticipate good turnout as for vendors, general public and classic car show. This year guys from ONDR, Ontario Nostalgia Drag Racers will be putting their cars on display.

No updates? Is weather too nice to work in the shop?

1949 Buick Super Restoration project

Not much excitement in last few months, just boring surface rust cleaning on the underside of body. In last few days prepped and POR15ed rear wheel wells and driver's floor. -
Looking at proportions, it doesn't look like that seat can be rotated while driving. Looks like the door needs to be open to rotate the seat.

I like snow in the winter. Unfortunately we're not getting it lately in Hamilton, ON. I can play with my walk- behind snowblower all day long, breathing fresh clean winter air while getting some exercise, instead of going to sweaty gym and paying for that. And as opposite I hate to cut the grass, even on riding mover. You can call me crazy

"PROJECT" has now become nearly unaffordable to ever do ?
Skvitt replied to arcticbuicks's topic in General Discussion
I wouldn't start any projects, unless I'm confident I can do 99% of it by myself (including cars, house, boats, I've done it all). And I don't care if it won't be done to someone's highest standards. But seeing the quality of "professional" workmanship around here, I think those standards a pretty low around my area. And 1% of my current project is re-chroming that neither I can do myself nor I can afford to send it out. So will live with pitted pot metal and a bit rusty bumpers, so be it I don't care. For my daily drivers I also buy only vehicles that I can work on myself. Unfortunately I'm not getting any younger. Prices of parts and supplies are also getting thru the roof. -

Tim: [Upset over Jill's new car] It's a shocker. I don't know what to say. Jill: How about saying that you're really happy that I got the car I wanted? Tim: Alright, I... I'm... IT'S BRITISH. These people made a fighter plane out of wood. They put kidneys in pies for God's sakes.
