  1. Bruce, I let them know that you wanted the bumpers if still available and passed along your number. They should know something tomorrow.
  2. @dibarlaw I assume that is an aftermarket front bumper on your friends 1921-45? I have a very similar one on my junk pile and figured it was a fits-all.
  3. Well done! I dig Model A Fords! I'm guessing the "automatic transmission" listed in the ad was a typo however.
  4. Can't wait to hear the story of this new adventure as it unfolds! Don't keep us in suspense too long!!!
  5. My understanding of a coachbuilder would be an entity that designs/builds bodies for an automotive manufacturer, therefore it is a factory car. A customizer on the other hand takes a automobile built by a manufacturer and creates his own look using home-built and/or parts from other existing automobiles. This in my opinion takes a perfectly good looking automobile and turns it into something hideous. In the case of the Spohn, the coachbuilder saved a step and just went for hideous from the factory. 😁
  6. Please keep your itinerary posted. We are not far from the southern end of Shenandoah National Park where the Blue Ridge Parkway begins. Waynesboro, VA, is just a short drive off the parkway there and has many dining and lodging options. There are a couple of cheap motels near the BRP at Fancy Gap near the southern end of VA as well. Don't expect anything fancy at Fancy Gap! Ask me how I know. 😜 Once you get into North Carolina there are great options at Boone, Little Switzerland, Asheville, Maggie Valley and Cherokee but inexpensive will be hard to find in those areas. I used to travel the BRP a lot on motorcycle. I'd think in a Model A, three days to travel the 469 mile length would be comfortable. With stops you'll only average about 25 mph.
  7. Anyone recognize this dash panel and gauges. The oval measures about 5 1/8" high x 8 3/8" wide. Thanks,
  8. Yes, they have the hood. I'll see if I can get some photos of the car with the hood.
  9. I think this would look better without the fenders. Cheap fun for sure!
  10. This beautiful Chevy pickup will be headed to the BAT auction site soon. Any interest at $26,500.00?
