  4. Nice to see a car that's being used! Reply through the website https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/1948-lincoln-continental-coupe.1248679/ Pristine 1948 Lincoln Continental located in Fountain Valley, Ca. Owned for 20 years this car has been garaged and well taken care of. New leather/ cloth upholstery Engine rebuilt: 16k miles on the current 6V, V12 Motor. Freshly painted No rust or rot This car can go the distance! Just got back from a trip through Colorado and Utah and she did great. Car stays active hasn’t been sitting and rotting away The entire car is bone stock. 3 in the tree column shift with overdrive. Getting too old to work on it anymore, it's time for a new home.
  5. I agree! The faux police theme might be fun for parades but in everyday use it's like a purple metal flake paintjob.
  6. Makes me think of when my teenage son wanted to hack saw the top off his VW Rabbit.
  7. My guess it's a C1 (6 cylinder) If the wood was good and if the engine turns over, this would be a usable car after years of toil and $20K + in materials. https://ventura.craigslist.org/cto/d/camarillo-1932-chrysler-sedan/7591157098.html 1932 Chrysler Sedan. All original (including motor), all complete aside from the cloth on the top and on the the seats, which has not stood the test of time. Clean title in hand. It has been sitting, covered, in the driveway for the past 20 years and has not been started in at least that long. So, I would say it is not in running condition at the present time - a tow or trailer would be required to get it to its new home. Asking $3,000 - pick up in Camarillo, Ca. 8. If I thought this car had actually been a police car in '48 I'd like it, but I don't think so.... https://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/d/sacramento-1948-plymouth-special-deluxe/7591193556.html New upholstery, all lights , sirens working ! 10. Seems like a very nice example, any thoughts on this price? (more pics in ad) https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/cto/d/gilroy-1911-maxwell-ab-runabout-antique/7591522289.html Runs perfectly. Has been on many tours with horseless carriage club, model T club and others. Starts and runs every time. Very reliable. The star of any show. 2 cylinder boxster engine.Maxwell was the 3rd best selling car in 1910! Very popular among collectors. This exact model was the car that started Harrah's collection. Moving and reducing our collection. This is an easy to start (hand crank) and drive car. Perfect for tooling around town, going to wineries or showing. Can literally drive it anywhere (except highways). email: f9868b3e158d3fcd806513533c35bcca@sale.craigslist.org
  11. Very interesting car from the period when GM wasn't afraid to try new things! Maybe not all of them were good ideas but you have to give the credit for "thinking outside the box". Half a V8 with "rope drive" to a transaxle with IRS.
  12. Strange price! If true, this seems a very good deal (I do note that there are no interior pictures) https://reno.craigslist.org/cto/d/sparks-1928-chrysler-model-62/7590998297.html Running and driving car. 13. This windmill (recently restored) pumped water to help turn the vast area of sand dunes into Golden Gate Park. Can someone identify the car?
  14. I was wondering too so I called. I did have a SAAB with a 4speed on the column so it would be possible but the seller told me he hadn't taken any new pictures since he put in the transmission, but it is a T-5 on the floor.
  15. This is the VIP parking area for the 1925 Indy 500. At least some of them put down a towel!
  16. I came across this picture yesterday of SD's introduction in 1908. The stunt was the brain child of Carl Fisher, most famous for building the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
