I used to live in a small town in the mountains. There was a mortuary, but with the small population, it wasn't a full time job, so the mortician also worked in the meat department at Safeway. He rented out the large garage at the back of his space to a mechanic, and that guy used to chase parts in the hearse. The bed in this vehicle would be pretty handy at Home Depot.

What year did Buick start running an oil supply to the rockers? Did all GM change that year (Chevy is a similar design).

When did Buick begin to supply oil to the rockers? There was a 1917 model posted recently where the valve train didn't even have a cover (many WWI aircraft were similar) and I care for a 1925 Chevy that requires the rockers to be oiled before each use.

I'm a fan of MoPar engineering and I salute the "out of the box" thinking that allowed these to be created, but it's easy to see why they were sales flops!

Plus, if you restore the signage, you can park anywhere you want! They always park in the red zone.

It says "Owner died, lost storage space". At first I thought this was really sad, but then I thought.. "Hey! he was still "in process", that's the way you want it, you don't want to run out of things to do". I probably WAS really sad for who ever has to deal with all he left! We've told our kids "Just get a dumpster".

You see some silly "appraised at" numbers, but this seems close to right. '28 is a good year; only for the more powerful 4 cylinder and 4 wheel brakes.

Half an 8 engine, Rope drive and a transaxle. I have to salute the engineering management that was free enough to allow these ideas to be developed. I can't imagine the corporate culture permitting it today. Might be a lot of fun and could probably be made to handle with a few suspension tweaks.

Well, that's quite interesting. Seems like a very nice car for reasonable money, but I guess this shows the lack of interest in 20's sedans.

Everybody says California is the worst, but I bought a '51 Simca a few years ago that had the wrong VIN (serial) number and wrong year on the title. It took a little effort (I had make an appointment for the Highway Patrol to inspect it) but the information I printed off the internet was sufficient to get it straighten out.
