  1. Cool, I will keep my eyes open for another to suit the 25 buicks
  2. I managed to find this 16page beauty. Five cents a copy in 1923. Anyone seen or own these I'd like to get another issue. For the 1925 cars. anyone with a idea of what it's worth ? Purely for my own info. Not for sale.
  3. Wanting to buy good condition or new lifters and pushrods for 1924/1925 master six. australia
  4. Thanks terry, good to know. I did look into this a few years back and couldn't find a solution. Lots of clear coatings but no chrome or nickel plating. Are you sure it's not an anodise. either way interested in how you get on with this job
  5. Here is a 1937 Buick century headlight seems the same. Looks like the trim will be possibly heading to its new home in USA.
  6. Where in parts for my 25. I know the owner also had a 36 Buick and 37 century Buick. Im trying to id then give away to anyone who needs them for their build. 17 1/2 inches long I thought looks like some trim bits maybe dash?
  7. I'm pretty sure you cannot plate aluminium, you can clear or silver anodise
  8. They would be cast aluminium. Mixed with different alloys. Hard to weld and harder to find a suitable filler rod of same composition. So that when polished shines at same colour. Something with higher silicone content will weld easier but many trails will need to be done to get same shade of metal for polishing. Casting and chroming may be more successful or cast in aluminium and polish
  9. I have two of these stainless trim, unsure what there are from believe possibly 30 era Buick.
  10. Wow the valves gone! Are you using nos valves or a substitute? When I go to do the engine i don't think I will reuse the valves because of the age. Interested to see what you use.
  11. I've had a large amount to do with vapour lock with modern fuels. A clear fuel tube will let you see what's happening at temps. And if is the issue an electric fuel pump on a switch works well as you can turn on to aid starting and when in heavy traffic or heat and getting vapour lock flick it on and off you go no worries.
  12. Stamped into the I beam on one end. Are part numbers cast instead ? I will investigate further
  13. If everyone still has there parts books available. I have two front axles one with part number 555711 and one with 798137 nothing in the books I currently have. And the 1924 front axle is 166157.
  14. Obviously not a industrial pressure washer but a small home one. The fins are stronger than you may think. Not like today's radiator designs. However caution at first.
  15. Great thanks everyone! I feel good now I hopefully have enough good parts to build a motor. I have some parts manuals but not the master parts one as yet. Once again thanks to the great knowledge on here
  16. Are the internals of a 1924 six and a 1925 master engine interchangeable? I have a lot of 24 six parts and a complete 24 engine however only have a parts of a 25 master engine and it's missing parts like pushrods valves etc. i was hoping to interchange these missing parts to complete my 25 master engine but I'm not going to tear down the complete 1924 motor just to inspect differences. i don't have the 25 master pushrods and valves to compare either thanks brendan
  17. Well after offering my wooden wheel up to a 27 standard centre it's about a half inch gap all around bigger. Soo I guess I do have a master wheel after all. But is attached like a standard with screw from the inside. I will recess the master alloy wheel I have because glueing in cover bits of timber and dowels seem to much work for me.
  18. Well I have a 1927 standard wheel (timber part )
  19. Any ideas on the sport coloumn I have mounting bracket? See photo above to compare
