  1. You were lucky ! I tried to dismantle it on the Dodge and it was very difficult
  2. I asked if the bushings weren't too small ( or larger ) , and that's why there's a squeak ?
  3. Aren't the rings too small ? Are the dimensions the same with another ring manufacturer?
  4. Yes indeed this Buick has seen a lot of color ! And the green color will look very good with the white interior
  5. It’s good to have kept in touch with the previous owner! And the previous owner must be very happy that you are working on this beautiful Buick ! I too can’t wait to see your finished Buick ! If I'm not mistaken, it was originally red in color ? and now what color are you going to paint it? It seems to me that you are talking about a dark green ?
  6. Thank you so much ! A I'm glad to know that your trunk lid is also in good condition . Good luck for the future, this Buick is going to be very beautiful when it is finished !
  7. Your trunk lid reminds me of the one I rebuilt on a friend's 1968 Cadillac Eldorado . sanding and priming during the works priming and painting It's a bit of work, but it's doable . Good luck to you
  8. Superb work ! I hadn't seen the latest work since December, and you did a great job! well done ! The tank is tired, can you find a new one ? Congratulations again and good luck for the future !
  9. Haha I see that it's like with us, there are questions not to ask
  10. Yes, it’s true that that could have been this answer too
  11. Okay, thank you very much for the information ! So there is definitely a "connection " with a dog
  12. Yes you can try it's very good A I'm happy then , and if one day you come to France on vacation, I will take you to restaurants to introduce you to our regional dishes It looks really good too ! This restaurant is very beautiful! and it makes you want to go there! If one day I go to Miami, I will eat in this restaurant In France when you eat a hot dog, you don't pay attention to the translation of the English name. It's as if the name in America was " Chien Chaud " (in French), you don't immediately pay attention to the translation of the name. And I've always wondered where the name hot dog comes from ? A dog ?
  13. Hello, don't worry . There is ketchup and mayonaise but next to the plate, you can't see it in the photo. The sauce with the fries is a homemade sauce that is served with the fries. And for the fries, here there are several types of fries. In a French restaurant you will find 9 times out of 10 homemade fries, made by hand, they are not frozen fries . The sauce that is served with the fries is a homemade sauce, the ketchup, mayonaise and mustard are also on the table but you can't see it in the photos
  14. Congratulations to the winner, I ate two hot dogs and I couldn't finish eating the fries . If one day I have the chance to go to New York, I will try Nathan's hot dogs, and I will see if they are the same as the Diner near me
  15. Last Saturday evening we went to eat at a restaurant that we like to go to, it's an American restaurant, a Tommy's Diner . And we would really like to visit the beautiful city of New York, there was a New York specialty, the “Nathan's” hot dogs And I tasted a hot dof from New York in France , and it was very very good ! And we drank some very good California wine ! Then to finish, a good dessert
  16. Hello, here are December and January photos of my 1978 Dodge Monaco Police . I drive it a lot and I go shopping to the store with the Dodge when the weather is nice . And in the parking lot I saw a very rare Cadillac Escalade EXT, and I parked next to it . By the time I parked and got out of the car there were already a lot of people around the Dodge taking photos, talking,... I had to wait a while to enter the store I went to several stores for Christmas, and I bought a small gift, and it was sitting nicely at the back Then towards the end of December I started work on the Dodge, I replaced the steering box because there was a fixing of the box which broke. And we also did some work on the 1941 Buick, I will post photos soon
  17. Good evening everyone, here is some Buick news . Small progress in the work, I am working at the same time on my Dodge 78 and the Buick 41. And I'm waiting for parts for my Buick which must come back from chrome plating. When I took the Buick to the bodybuilder, I had to reassemble the trunk lock for the bodybuilder, but I knew I would have to take it apart to give it a clean. So remove the trunk locks and clean. It was clean but a little faded. So I applied a gray primer which resembles the original color, then applied a colorless varnish to finish And reassembly then the lock cover Cleaning I looked but couldn't find a new gasket for the lock cover, so I made one. First cut, the joint is not yet finished, it will be refined later And reassembly It's incredible the difference in color between the camera and the phone. Then it will be the strips which run along the bottom of the trunk, but I will post the photos soon .
  18. Hello, I will soon post photos of the rest of the work. I'm still looking for the metal clips to attach the strips to the bottom of the trunk. And I'm going to buy new clips that look like the original ones. Here are photos of the original clips with measurements And here are the new clips that I would like to buy. The measurements seem to correspond between the original clips and the new ones ? It’s on a website that you recommended to me . https://www.auveco.com/general-motors/moulding-fasteners-10-24-x-3-4-bolt-5-16-width-12962 Thank you
  19. I also had a problem with the “contact” of the horn in the steering wheel, and I managed to repair it. I talked about it here, on the Buick 41
