  1. In 1954, only the Roadmasters had 4 portholes ("ventiports"). In 1955, Centurys, and I think Supers, got 4 as well.
  2. Nice! Maybe beige upholstery would suit the paint color better, but what a great car.
  3. Looks like a solid car at a decent asking price. Not sure what the fixation on the steering wheel knob is about, but some owners seem to like them a lot. My '37 LaSalle came with one. I took it off the day I brought it home. Not planning to turn donuts on the neighbor's lawn anytime soon.
  4. Thanks for posting and especially the photos, George. For those of us who don't do Facebook, the descriptions alone don't provide much.
  5. Looks a LOT like a '65 Peugeot 404 I had. I can understand how it might grow moss up here near Seattle, but Rocklin is a stretch.
  6. A triple black car in Vegas??? One of five what? Triple black '69 Electras in Vegas? True, you couldn't find a junker and bring it to this condition for $20K, but I bet you could buy one already done for somewhat less. It is a nice car. It'd be even nicer with the raised tire lettering flipped to the inside.

  8. Nice car, and the new upholstery looks great. Asking price is aspirational. Maybe in a package deal with the seller's other car?
  9. As nice as the interior is, I'd be mightily surprised if the paint isn't original. Last year for Caddy V12's was 1937, and IMHO, the extra four cylinders, especially in a sedan, are more trouble than they're worth. The V8's a good motor, and this is a great car. Nice proportions.
  10. I like it. Ramblers are great little cars. Too bad the seller couldn't be specific about what repairs still need to be done.
  11. Very nice. Asking price seems low, but I guess that's the market for prewar sedans. 7P sedan rather than a limo, which is a big plus.
  12. It cleaned up well. The dealer should've been satisfied with $24K. That's strong money for a nice driver.

  15. Handsome LaSalle. I'd like to steal those hubcaps. Not sure about the two-tone upholstery, although the style looks about right. $75K is #1-plus, absolutely perfect car money. Get out the authenticity manual....
  16. Nice lightweight flyer, and a lot cheaper than a comparable Barracuda.
  17. Nice! I'm not keen on mohair seating surfaces, and the headlight eyebrows have to go, but otherwise, a sharp little car.
  18. I had a '38 Special I bought from a mechanic and longtime BCA member. He drove it from eastern Calif to the St Louis BCA National in the 1990's, 60-65 mph all the way. I drove it over the Sierras and home to San Jose when I bought it, 260 miles in 5 hours, so there are '38 Specials that can do it. The car seemed to strain at 50, then smooth out and cruise easily at 60. All depends on how they've been treated.
  19. I wonder what's up with the passenger side of the hood. Tweaked, or maybe the photographer couldn't be bothered to close it? Looks pretty straight.
  20. The whitewalls make it worse. Like picture frames. It's a nice car; fix the brakes and drive it. Clear finish on the wheels would be good, or almost any color BUT that electric blue, maybe with some matching color pin striping. And blackwall tires.
