  1. Oh, I'm sorry for that! I'm sure you will find the right one - some day! ;-)
  2. Thanks Paul! Right, I change it to the GS wooden wheel... I had the great opportunity to get one for a good price and upgraded it with the horn bars from Rick Rawls. Looks awesome!
  3. Yep off topic but who cares Yes it was power windows but it wasn't original... Had also some trouble with the motor and also with the gear, so I changed it back to a normal handle.
  4. Hi folks I want to sell my original steering wheel. The condition is very good (no cracks) and in my opinion it looks great. I have someone who is interested but I have no clue how much I can ask for... Want to give a fair price for it. Does anybody knows how much I can ask? Thanks!
  5. Very nice item! Thanks Gabriel, the detailed pictures will help me to reassemble the arm rest I purchased few week ago who came disassembled (the screws where missing too). I didn't invest a lot of time so far, but at the first view, I hadn't any clue how to put these parts together. Now I see it better... Thanks again!
  6. I'm in contact with Ken Becker who converted his son's 1. Gen Riv +/- the way you want to have yours... (as I understand right) Ken has amazing skills and is a very nice guy! I'm sure he'd like to give you lots of good tips and valuable information for this kind of transformation. You can find him on Facebook. (Send him a PM let him know that "Schmiddy for Switzerland" gave you the contact infos I'm sure you will get back cool advices and answers to your questions). Here is the car: (...The wheels are not my gusto but this Rivi has many very cool features - in my opinion)
  7. https://www.etsy.com/people/nicolenatoli11? Just click on "contact" and send your request by the form. (This is how I did). And here is his shop: https://www.etsy.com/de/shop/BoilingPointCreative (there are some more cool posters too... Enjoy!)
  8. Yeah, I got mine last week... Looks absolutely gorgeous! I also bought the data from Joe and I made a big size poster for the wall of my mancave (A0 -> 33.1 x 46.8") ...the small original one is hanging in my atelier I like the design that much, that I isolated the Rivi and will do some cool T-Shirts and embroidered caps with this pic...
  9. Thank you guys! After some research I found it myself... https://www.etsy.com/de/listing/546878583/20th-annual-el-segundo-california-main?ref=pr_shop I'm in touch with the designer, his name is Joe Natoli... I will get the source file of this poster and will print it localy! I feel so happy about this!!! Greetings from Switzerland! Schmiddy
  10. I can understand your decision very well... I live in Switzerland and the behavior about charges is nothing new to me! For every part I need from the US, I always pay so much more for shipping fees, taxes, extras for foreigner bank transactions and so on, I stoppt to count quite early... (otherwise I should sell the car and start an other hobby! ) For me, my Riv is a deep emotional thing, if I start to think about what I spent already... no better not!!! To leave the idea of a self made console is nothing bad, your interior looks pretty neat anyway, so... In any case the threads were very interesting, so thanks for that!
  11. Does anybody knows, if this poster is available to buy somewhere? I must have that one!!! Any information is very appreciate! Thank you guys
  12. Sounds great! ...post that vid here once it is done!
  13. Btw: I couldn't find any soundtrack on your FB profile Mr. Jones. What kind of music are you playing/singing? Long, very long time ago, I made my living with music too... (But I don't play anymore)
  14. Costs are mostly depending on how is your passion for your car! My 65 is like my baby... she deserves the best! Rodney is right, it's only money... Like Jason Zerbini always says: "Buy Once - Cry Once, the Quality remains long after - the price is forgotten"
  15. Yes, $400.00 is a lot, but these arm rests are quite rare to find in a +/- good condition... They are all sold between $300.00 and $600.00 depending on the condition I paid for mine $350.00 and will have to restore it... I know Tim Sweely, he's located in Roseville in CA. He's a very nice guy and I already bought some parts at Rivi Central (his Shop for Riviera parts from '63 - '67). Fair prices, fast shipping and he has a very good service... You can find him also here: http://www.rivicentral.com/ https://www.facebook.com/Rivi-Central-185684528117758/
  16. Cool, looks great! Thx for your advising Ed and Riv2x4!
  17. Hi Mr. Jones This is a very interesting topic 'cos I just bought the same back center arm rest few days ago for my 65 Riv... I'm actually waiting for the delivery. Like you I would have it reupholstered professionally by SMSAutofabrics.com, who already made my seat covers in an outstanding quality. At the moment I have no clue how to do the installation (I have to restore the mechanical stuff in a first step). I will follow this thread and post my issues during my restoration.
  18. No problem Tom, jframe will take it as he told me ?
  19. Jframe, I'm still in Spain at the moment, but checked out how much the shipping costs would be for the trunk lining... In our value this would be (Swiss Franks) CHF 72.00 plus package (roll/tube) --> Will be at the end +/- $80.00 Do you want it? If not, Tom would take it... (Right, Tom???) I would send the package around the 14th of August. We could handle the transaction via Paypal, this is I guess the easiest way. Just let me know.
  20. That's cool! Original is always better! ??? Part II in the next issue of the Riview should come out next two weeks... (but is always a bit earlyer on my page ? Feel free to download it if you need the infos right now.) you're welcome, it always a pleasure! ?☺️
  21. If frame is reinforced well, doors shoudn't be a problem... looks like there is a lot of skills in that build so that they also thought about that issue!? I like that car, nice color and well done interior! Only thing I would change are the wheels! ??
  22. Jframe, I will do that when I'm back from holidays, I'm on Mallorca now for two weeks and will be back the 14th. I guess it will be somewhere between $50.00 and $75.00 (This is what I usually pay when I order in the US. I come back to you with the final costs.) I hope, you can wait that long... telriv, sure! If jframe doesn't want it, you're the next on my list! ???
  23. Alpa*Male: If you don't have the Riview, check my webpage under "Works" there you will find how I did it without these tack strips. You can download all my Riview articles as PDF of each issue I published. (I have a special deal with Ray Knott, the publisher of the Riview, the download is legal). Push the logo in my signature below, it brings you to my webpage. ...work in process... ?
  24. Thanks whitewatersky! Means a lot to me! ?
