  1. I believe mine is 2 inches wide with 16 TPI. Please see if that works.
  2. I approached Waldron's to make an exhaust system for my late 1920's Chrysler. They did not have the ability to identify the correct exhaust system for my car. They sent me a photo of an exhaust system for another 1920's Chrysler model and wanted me to approve the dimensions prior to any work being done. Since my car has no exhaust system I was unable to comply and that is where we left it.
  3. Scott, I suggest you start scrounging around your fellow owners, radiators for early Chrysler cars are very difficult to find. I have a 1928 Model 72 and my radiator is not very good. I've been looking for almost 2 years and I may have access to one through another Model 72 owner. I spent some time looking into a re-core. Sobering, the honeycomb Auburn style radiator core is very expensive to reproduce. Good Luck.
  4. Is there any chance of an inventory list being posted of the items for sale.
  5. While my 1928 Chrysler 6 cylinder engine was being rebuilt the rebuilder was thrilled to find pistons marked "standard" in the bores and so was I until we discovered those pistons were not originally from my engine. They were pistons from another engine salvaged into mine and the bore had been drilled out to make them fit. A total mess that required new pistons and finding another set of rods because those too had been salvaged to fit the pistons which had a different wrist pin configuration from the Chrysler originals.
  6. I have a 1991 Ford Bronco that unfortunately sits outside. I've used cage wire with 3/8 squares to go over the end of my exhaust pipe and under the hood over the air intake opening. I also took the small plastic containers used for bars of soap when traveling, drilled holes in them and filled them with moth balls then put one on each side of the engine held in place with a zip tie. The moth balls need to be replaced as they evaporate. So far nothing appears to have tried to invade any of these places.
  7. Yeah, I've seen these posts and I'm sad to say (in the past) wasted time looking at them. These Bozos make proclamations about cars they've probably never seen and ride around in hybrid imports. Then again, there are a lot of people on the internet talking nonsense to anyone who will listen.
  8. I'm pleased to report $um Fun is well and accounted for after a slight MIA status.
  9. My guess is he was not really interested in making a sale. It happens....
  10. Here in New Jersey motor vehicle inspections are a joke. Back in the day cars were thoroughly checked out, the brakes, the front end, lights and more. Now the only thing they check and care about is your emissions, so as long as you are not polluting the air your brakes can be lousy and anything else on your car as well. I drive a 1991 Ford Bronco and I don't even have to have it inspected because it's over 25 years old. It's all a joke but then again so are a lot of other things today.......

  12. Look up "1928 Brake reservoir" and you will find some hits. There is something hokey with the search engine, I've entered this phrase and gotten 3 different results, the most hits were 16 but then there were only 3 or 2. I don't know why this is happening, a good question for the administrator.
  13. OK, now I'm really vexed. I will find something out about this topic so help me......
  14. The old one can be rebuilt, Arthur Gould Rebuilders, Houlden Mass
  15. Hi again, I feel bad I said to do this and you still did not get any answers. However, I know this topic has been discussed before so if you search the forums you will find something.
  16. 31LaSalle, the title is too vague, use looking for information on 1928 Chrysler Brake Fluid Reservoir and you should get some input. I'm interested in this too.
  17. Hey Bob, not so fast, I believe I've found someone not afraid to tackle the assignment.
  18. Hey Zeke01, you must have some charitable or hungry machine shops in your neck of the woods. Last time I went to a machine shop around here with a very minor task I got laughed at, "too busy to be bothered with that stuff".

  21. This problem has become so widespread because the perps never get caught and charged. They don't get caught because these types of theft are considered "small potatoes" by law enforcement, too many "bigger fish to fry". It's a sad state of affairs that is only going to fester and get worse. We all have to be ever vigilant of being conned.
  22. Wow! I must be looking for G O L D! There should be many of these laying around gathering dust...
