  1. 1930 Chrysler Steering Wheel excellent condition no cracks $350.00
  2. There is no bellhousing for a 29 REO Flying Cloud. The transmission I have, the front bolts to the rear engine housing where the clutch is located. I have attached a drawing to show you. You can expand the drawing by the slide bar at the bottom of the picture.
  3. Hi; Mscharpp; You can communicate with me via my email ron_abee@yahoo.com Yes, I would say you got a good deal on the car and the wood is in pristine condition. I am so glad to read that you are not going to hot rod this car. That kills me when I read someone bought a rare car and then they want to butcher it. Yes by all means keep it original and in good condition. In looking through the club directory if I read this right you will have some company as far as B2 Mates. I have only seen one at a meet and that was in 2012. Since your intentions are to join the REO Club of America I have attached a link to the website: https://reoclub.org/ I would suggest to get to know your car as much as possible. As these cars continue to age the parts are harder to find. When you have the time measure the width where the visor goes. I may have one that fits. The running boards are easy to make. If I look through some emails I may be able to find the specs. to make them. The trim is available too, and I will send you the link for that. Take care, Ron Abee ron_abee@yahoo.com
  4. You can get the motor mounts at Steele Rubber and it's part number is 16-0006-11; I just replaced mine.
  5. Try some Marvel Mystery oil on the seized piston and put some oil on the crank shaft. It will take awhile but it should free up in a couple of weeks. You can get pistons, rings at Egge. Gasket set through Olson. You can get points, plugs, condenser, rotor and cap through Ben McAdams. I have some rods and a crank shaft if yours is broken.
  6. Are these for wire wheels or artillery wheels?
  7. Are you looking for a complete transmission? I have one for a 29 Flying Cloud. Where in California are you located; the reason I ask is I live in Visalia, California.

  17. Report post x #1 Posted just now Members 10 108 posts Report post x #1 Posted August 6 (edited) I have a 1929 REO Flying Cloud that is a basket case plus a 1930 REO Flying Cloud parts car. There are enough parts to complete at least one car or both. Over a 41 year period of time, I have managed to accumulate the missing parts I needed. The engine was rebuilt and never put back in the car. Two transmissions condition unknown, steering wheel, and steering boxes, bumper, seats, fenders some dents, hoods and extra pieces, trim pieces for the doors and windows, radiators, windshields, Shebler S-3 carburetor, master cylinder, wood wheels, and glass. Both bodies are all steel by Briggs. I prefer to sell both cars as a package for $6,000.00. If someone is looking to build a rat rod I'd be willing to sell one car and keep the parts not needed for a build for less money, price negotiable. If I have to I can piece the parts out. I can take pictures upon request. You can contact me any time, ron_abee@yahoo.com

  21. Pat; I had sent a 1930 REO steering wheel off to Backwards Unlimited for a estimate as to repairing. The lady told me it wouldn't be over $550.00. May 7, 2018 I mailed it to them I called got the run around with a promise of calling back never did Early part of September 2018 She called stating the steering wheel was done $850.00. I refused to pay for it so they have it for sale. Make them a offer. Oh, they do take PayPal. www.backwardsunlimited.com you can see a picture of the steering wheel. The lady, Inky is hard to deal with be firm. I felt like they were holding my steering wheel hostage and jacked up the price. Good luck!

    Identify this REO hood

That hood would be worth it's weight in gold to someone restoring one of these REO trucks.
