  1. Check out the ACD neon sign I created, which I just posted on Ebay. George Albright. gnalbright@gmail.com Duesenberg Cord Auburn Dealer Neon Sign 1930 Old Antique Vintage Porcelain | eBay

  3. Ebay auction link: Packard Dealer Sign Neon 1950 Old Antique Vintage Porcelain | eBay
  4. This Packard neon dealer sign just posted on Ebay for sale,no reserve, starting at $800. Here is the auction text: Up for auction is an extremely rare piece of advertising and neon sign history. This is an Insco "Lit Writer" that allowed a business to interchange pre manufactured neon letters to say whatever the company wished to display and/or advertise. This company was only in business from the 1956 to 1959 period in Piqua, Ohio. (See following link to Piqua Ohio Public Library, which houses the company's documents:) http://www1.youseemore.com/piqua/contentpages.asp?loc=847 I am posting this for a friend whose father had a sign company near Lake Erie, in Pa., up to the 1970s. He had this sign in its original box, which comes with the auction! It is in MINT original condition! I was able to get with another sign collector who had bought several boxes of also new NOS letters for these signs, from a closed sign company in Michigan. Thus you are getting a BRAND NEW 1956-59 sign and BRAND NEW 1956-59 neon letters! I put the letters in the sign yesterday and turned it on, for the first time in the sign and letters lives. Both worked perfectly! You will probably NEVER get a chance like this again. Any company and or car dealership could have bought one of these for use in the late 1950s. Since Packard was in business until 1958, when it finally merged into American Motors, this sign is absolutely historically correct to display as an authentic Packard dealership sign! The box is 29 inches long, 3 1/2 inches wide, and 4 inches high. Weight is approx. 20 lbs. Sign will be shipped to you in its original cardboard shipping box! Neon letters will be shipped in a separate crush proof box. If a letter gets broken, doesn't work, etc. upon arrival, it will be replaced free of charge. Shipping for both boxes is an additional $45.00 dollars above the purchase price. We accept all forms of payment contact us. Sign will be shipped from Ocala, Fla. Cord's ACD empire made few factory authorized dealer signs in any form. In addition,I don't believe any ACD dealership neon signs were ever made. Thus you would have the only ACD neon dealer sign in the world! Yes I know this is a 1950s sign not a 1930s sign, but if one had been built in the 1930s it would have looked very similar to this. The box has a rust patch on the bottom where the old cardboard box it was stored in must have gotten wet decades ago. However you cannot see the rust spot, and it in no way affects the operation of the sign. One could take a piece of sandpaper and smooth out the rust spot and repaint with flat black paint, and it would look like it was never rusted. The sign is quite large! It is 36 inches long,10 inches high, and 5 1/2 inches wide. Weight is approx. 40 lbs. The sign box will be shipped separate from the neon letters, which will be shipped in a crush proof box.If a letter gets broken, doesn't work, etc. upon arrival,it will be replaced free of charge.Yes I know Duesenburg is spelled wrong! We have a replacement E coming.Shipping is free. We accept all forms of payment, contact us. Sign will be shipped from Ocala,Fla. Price is $9,800.

  11. Price reduced from $1,500 to $890.00 or offers. Must pickup in California or arrange shipping on www.uship.com Please see attached page from a vintage Hollander interchange manual.Go to trans. T -189 on the page to see what it fits. Looks like it may also fit 1929 and 1930 Cadillac V8s and LaSalle V8s of same years in addition to 1931-33.It appears this trans. fits V8s and V12s only, not V16s even though that's what it says in the Hollander. I have been told V16 trans are different. Thanks!<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

  13. For Sale. A Cadillac transmission removed in the 1960s from a restored 1931 Cadillac V8 that was rolled, totaled, and parted out. Former owner bought this trans from the wreck as a backup spare for his fully restored 1931 Cadillac V8 at the time. He sold that car long ago but kept the trans. I am told this is the first year of the Cadillac sychro trans. Thus it is a valuable piece for 1930s and 1940s hot rodders to put behind their Ford Model A and V8 engines. According to the vintage Hollander Interchange Exchange Manual this single model of trans was used in ALL 1930 and 1931 Cadillac and LaSalle V8 V12 and V16 models. ( V-8,V-12,V-16)Thus it is very rare and desirable.(see below). Condition inside unknown other than was represented by former owner. See photos. Always stored in garage since 1960s. Currently stored in Napa. Calif. I can assist with shipping anywhere in the USA thru www.Uship.coom which I use frequently. Cost of shipping and crating if necessary is born by the buyer.
