  1. Well, I know I said I wouldn't do it, but there have been so many requests to do so that I am extending the deadline for registration to Feb. 10th. So unless you are enjoying your sub zero weather and shoveling snow, there is still time to sign up!! It was a bit chilly this morning at 45 but will be 60 by this afternoon and 80 by Wednesday!! Don't miss out on what is going to be a great show at a spectacular location!! Lots of great activities and great company!!
  2. Now that the holidays are over it's time to plan 2022!! The February 1st Deadline for registration for the 2022 Winternational is less than 30 days away! With activities like the American Muscle Car Museum Tours, Airboat rides, Casino Cruise and the scrumptious Seafood Feast, this event is filling up fast and will likely not be extended. With a low room rate at the host hotel, the AACA block is filling up and may run out quickly so get your reservations in NOW!! The awards dinner will be a buffet with a Hawaiian theme and entertainment that looks like it may be one of the best ever!! Go to AACA.org and get that reservation in the mail today!! Any questions call meet Director Dave Anspach at 484-769-7856 or email at AACADave1054@yahoo.com. We hope to see you there.
  3. Exactly like those lenses, but without the assembly. I was hoping to find an original source such as a parts supplier outside of e-bay. I haven't done e-bay in many years and would have to start with a new ID etc. Thanks for the thought Matt!!
  4. Not sure if that is the correct term for what I need. Fits in a 3/8 hole that is back lit. It is the lens only and has a brass or chrome surround. Has a nut on back . Light behind it serves as turnsignal indicator. Needed for dash of a Crosley Roadster. Anyone have one to sell or can tell me where to find one? Can be red or green!
  5. We are going to do a Crosley get together at Jim Bollman's flea market space CI 8-10 on Thursday Oct. 7, at 11 am. It would be nice if you were a Crosley Club member but all interested in Crosleys are welcome (we can sign you up there). Please contact me at tmkldwwj@yahoo.com if you are going to attend so we can be sure we have enough food!!
  6. With all due respect Mr Wright, You are correct in that vinegar will not attack copper. It will, according to my sources degrade Brass, lead (used to solder radiators), aluminum, and if spilled on some paints degrade them also. I would suppose if used carefully, be useful in some cases, but a safer alternative such as evaporust would certainly be superior for use.
  7. Peter, do we submit events here or send them to you privately?
  8. I have a friend there that needs a 450 x 12 tire that I have here in Florida to complete a set for a correct restoration. Wanted to save him shipping. Looking for someone who is going to Gettysburg show that would be willing to throw it in his truck bed or trailer . He can pick it up from you. Thank you for considering!
  9. Chuck, I still haven't heard anything from you. I do want to buy this if still available. BTW...Got anything else Crosley?
  10. Im sorry, I didn't check back. I got your email. I am at 32909. However, I am also coming to Hershey.
  11. By the way the show was VERY successful and we added a bunch of new members because of it.
  12. The Crosley Auto Club www.crosleyautoclub.com did a virtual show in July to take the place of or national show this year. Ut works well for a "people's choice" type show. I'm afraid it wont work for a judged show like we in AACA do.
  13. Sorry Jim.. just so excited about all you guys have done
  14. I wanted to take the opportunity to invite everyone to attend the Crosley Auto Club's virtual National meet. Like most of the rest of you our National Meet in Ohio this week has had to be cancelled due to Covid restrictions placed on us by the various governmental entities. We decided to do a virtual meet and show instead including seminars, displays, an auction of various donated items, and of course a show. Of course it won't be as much fun as being there, but it will hopefully keep our club members involved until we can get together again. Plans are for everything to go live tomorrow. You will find it at www.crosleyautoclub.com . If anyone is looking for information on how to create a similar event, we would be happy to help. Just contact us through the club. I hope you enjoy it.
  15. I was approached today by a neighbor who works at a National parts store. He has a customer who needs tune up parts for a 1960 Morris sedan. I know very little about them, But I told him, I would try here to see if anyone could suggest where to get quality parts. He is not interested in any Chinese knock offs. Thanks!!
  16. I'll tell you what Marty, you come next year and bring the Corvair, and we will name it an "honarary" Crosley!!
  17. I thought people might be interested in what has happened with Crosley Nationals. Like many (most) National meets and shows, we have been forced to cancel. The restrictions placed on having a show (less than 200 people, distancing, masks, cancellation of many of our activities, keeping a list of attendees to surrender to health dept. on demand, and still the risk of being shut down with no notice), were far more than we felt we could tolerate and still have a fun time. As a result, we have decided to have a "virtual" on line show. The on line show is limited to Crosley Auto Club members and will be divided up in our normal show classes and have a picture of each car posted to be voted on by the participants. We are in the registration phase now and if anyone is out there that isn't a club member and is interested there is still time to join and participate. Trophies will be awarded to the highest vote getters in each class. Entrants will be required to pre register in order to submit their pictures and receive a ballot to vote. Everyone will be able to view the show at www.crosleyautoclub.com from July 11 to 13th. There will also be a number of demonstrations and seminars recorded and put on the site for anyone to view. We hope that this will help to hold our group together for a year until we can meet again. Please feel free to copy any ideas you see there for your club. If we can help with anything , feel free to ask!!
  18. My favorite says "My wife says if I buy one more Crosley, she's going to leave me. I'm sure going to miss her".
  19. I wanted to compliment our Cape Canaveral President Walt Kostrzewa for his novel idea to serve our members during isolation. Walt took the time to set up a camera and hold a meeting and record it, then loaded it on You Tube. He then sent out an email to all members with the location of the recording so everyone could see it!! It was well done, interesting, and informative. Just an idea for everyone else that will help you to hold your membership together during these difficult times!!
  20. Have any of you ever used an airbrush for a small paint repair? I had to make a repair on a 2 inch by 4 inch area. It requires paint on that area. I thought using an airbrush would allow me to feather in the repaired area easier. Comments?
  21. Our car (1950 Crosley Hotshot Super) was accepted for Amelia Island and we decided we want to do something period correct for costumes for the show. Given that the Hotshot was styled specifically to appeal to GIs who had seen European sportscars during the war, we have settled on recreating the famous "kiss" from VJ day. So now the problem. I have searched the internet to find correct enlisted man's dress blues from the period, either original or reproduction in my size (38 waist ) and a correct period nurses uniform for my wife. Does anyone here have a reliable source? I have looked at a couple from overseas and they have very mixed reviews so I really don't want to take a chance. Thank you in advance!!
  22. Will have an empty trailer going South after Hershey. Pretty much empty pickup bed also. Can haul parts, small car whatever for small fee. For whole load figure gas and a reasonable hotel for 1 night for whole trip.
  23. I am in need of a single 4.50 X 12 Firestone Deluxe Champion tire. Does not need to be perfect but presentable. I need it to complete a set for show. Can pick up at Hershey.
  24. Don't know how knowledgeable, but thanks. We had almost 170 Crosleys on the grounds this year. Record turnout for cars and people, record participation in events, big increase in flea market vendors, increase in banquet attendance, etc. Nothing but superlatives for the meet. Announced the 4th youth project. What a great group of people!! Check the club website www.crosleyautoclub.com
